Deepika sported denims for Chhapaak promotions doing an all-white look on Saturday and then a corset over shirt look on Monday. Have a favorite?
She sure looked statuesque in the white denims. As for the corset one, clearly her stylist (Shaleena) liked it on herself and decided to put Deepika in it as well.

Oh dear, the second look! On herself Shaleena still got the proportions and fit okay. Not sure what Deepika’s look is supposed to be. It’s like when I used to play “fancy dress” with my cousins growing up, and I had to be Jack Sparrow so 6 year old me threw together whatever I thought looked good, plus my mom’s stilettos.
I think the stylists can wear whatever they like for sake of poses and shoots.. but putting a top actress into such clown affair is low caliber.. it’s like you really can’t differentiate in each one’s potential and individual sense of what style would look best.
I’m totally for tone on tone but here the white and cream combo looks horrendous..

I feel bad about DP. I mean why! Who styles the oversized shirt, corset and denim like this? A normal person who is not stylist can put together outfit better than this.
Makeup and accessories on the first look don’t work with the clothes. At all.
Love the makeup and hair in the second look, she looks gorgeous. But the outfit is a total fail, I like the corset idea but the proportions are totally off.
Those ‘rat nibbled on my jeans’ are the worst. I feel they don’t look good on anybody.

Both appearances look barely passable only because of her beautiful face. Atrociously lazy outfits. Maybe these are meant to be deliberately provocative and troll-baiting; the only explanation I can think of for why someone would willingly pick these ‘outfits’.

Now if the corset was worn like a corset should be worn, with the shirt opened the look would have been good; else it’s disastrous. The make-up and hair though, spot on!

Those white pants in the first pic , I wouldn’t buy even on clearance. As for the gold jewelry and mismatched whites, lesser said the better.

Please. Enough with the blaming Shaleena. She’s not an amazing stylist but Deepika isn’t daft. Since she employs Shaleena and not the other way round, I’m sure she can say no to outfits if she wants.

Isn’t Deepika herself not done with these white/black/blue shirt and jeans combo.. These are clearly Shaleena’s looks and does not suit Deepika and her personality..
Sometimes it’s the white oversized shirt and folded jeans, sometimes it’s with black. Sometimes it’s accessorised differently but ultimately its all the same.. Shaleena has been styling her with the same oversized, boxy, folded, metallic formulas. And Deepika seems OK with it..!!
Completely agree. DP always favors this loose white shirt and jeans combo. For her airport or travel looks it’s ok. But wearing it for interviews and events. If you see her archives, she had worn jeans shirt combo even in Cannes. It’s one of her Most repeated DP’s style. But this addition of corset is even worse
Dressing with a corset like this should be a CRIME. Period. Doesn’t one feel a moment of awkwardness and idiocy wearing it in that way? Next minute people will start wearing bikini over jeans and shorts. WTH.
I am now certain that DP can never go back to the way she was. She is now adopting and adapting to others persona and style.
Watched the video of second look on insta where Deepika was posing for paps. Looked very comical.

In the Recent vogue Or some other magazine video she shows what she packed, out came the oversized shirts and baggy denims! It’s what deepika prefers, stylist is only working around deepika’s preferences I think. That explains why Dee is fine with it!

For sake of impartiality I showed DP’s corset pic to my husband and asked for his comments. His first reaction was ” why she wearing a bra on top of her shirt? Then he said ” this is not a style thing, this is a kuku thing”. Sums it up aye.
I was browsing through the Zara app, and in the jeans section, one of the models is dressed EXACTLY in this. We thought Shaleena has no taste, but turns out she has no imagination!
