Deepika on Verve:(Un)Covered

Comment image 30

We may not have been fans of the Harper’s cover but loving Ms. Padukone on the September Bridal special edition of Verve India. Ms. Padukone wears a hot off the couture runway Anamika Khanna lehenga with a velvet blouse.

P.S. What is it about the bridal issues that makes Verve also feature Vuitton on the cover. Remember this? A subtle way of implying that only Vuittons can help carry the heavy duty bridal wear? 😛

  1. Love the smoldering look she’s got. I don’t think this has been photoshopped to death…maybe smoothing out skin tones. But she has a great figure and the whole outfit looks regal on her. Hate the juxtaposition of the LV though; nice ornate old fashioned trunk would have looked more fitting.

  2. Love the dress on her skin colour. Beautiful jewelry. Still not a fan of her “chaathi thaan ne waala” posture. She always always has it and its a bit masculine.

  3. Like. The tikka almost gives her that celestial quality. And those eyes…it seems that she can get up and seduce anyone she wants. Elegant and sexy…great styling.

  4. The Indian market’s obsession with designer accessories emblazoned with logos is somewhat ridiculous. The art of subtlety is lost particularly with the celebrities.

  7. Deepika looks nice as always – but on just how many mag covers do we have to see Deepika/Genelia/Kareena/Lara… ??? Indian fashion mag editors have no imagination.

  8. is the LV paying these magazines for advertising their things so loudly and clearly? otherwise I don’t understand advertising for things and don’t get paid for it.
