In Dolce & Gabbana

Deepika graced the launch of Architectural Digest Magazine in Delhi last night wearing a pink Dolce & Gabbana lace gown with pink pumps. As fab as the color looked on her, me, am on the fence about the half-up/half down hair. You love?

  1. I can easily ignore the hair.. She is looking fabulous after a long time! A 9/10 just for choosing the right dress and a color out of her safe zone.

  2. beautiful dress and the hairdo looks great. The make up is fresh. But the only thing i don’t like much are the pink pumps with this10 dress.

  3. Have been seeing a lot of pulled back hairstyle on deepika lately.. i guess it does justice to her almond shaped face..!! an average look !! Isn’t it the same gown that Scarlett Johansson wore to the oscars last year with an open back ! if it is.. i too am on fence with the open hair at the back…she should have shown off her smoldering back !! but she still fares better than scarlett !

  4. She looks striking. I think she elevates the gown, as it looks pretty limp on the model. She should totally give her makeup artist a raise; her face is always flawless.

  5. A kinda normal gown, elevated to wow stature by. that. figure.! I don’t mind the hair and her make-up as always is flawless. She looks so statuesque and elegant every damn time…and it’s not just that she is tall (I am and no way have that carriage!) …it’s the overall effect, those eyes, the dimples, the litheness and the ability to carry off almost any outfit. (Hurries off to practice standing with shoulders thrown back and no slouching, no slouching, no…!)

  6. Wow!Flawless.. i did not even notice the hair much because with that face and bod, she could have Winehouse beehive and still shine through

  7. I really hate this half up half down hair on her, but she looks gorgeous in this dress! Didn’t even notice her hair till I saw the caption..and isn’t she way overdressed for this event?

  8. wow so statuesque, but the look kindof looks unfinished may be due to lack of accessories.

Also she needs to open her hair – wavy or curly style, as her face tends to look small compared to her statuesque body when she wears such long gowns and pulls her hair back or up.

  10. Nice shape but i have never liked her face – too angular for my taste it spoils anything she wears. I think most people are mesmarised by her star power than looks. the colour is not doing it for me either coupled with the lacy bits Naa

  11. Wow so pretty! The pink shoes are perfect, black would’ve contrasted too much! On an aside, I just bought a lace dress myself and I love it!! 😀

  12. Urgh lace in this colour. It seems to be placed rather oddly. And holymotherofgod $8000 and plus for this?! Does the event sponsor get the bill, just curious? And even then D manages to make it look so mediocre. Might as well be a mannequin. Meh.

  13. Isn’t this the same gown that Scarlet Johansson wore to an awards last year, though in a wine shade? Dippy looks nice though:)

  14. absolute perfection! half hair worn down lends more feminity and change of hairstyling (shift from the ponytail), love the pink shoes- this is where matchy match works. What’s not to like?
