In Twos

Doing cream suits at their respective events were Bipasha and Dia. While, Dia sure got props for the hair, it was Bipasha’s suit that we liked more. You?

P.S. Dia is in Surily Goel.

On The Red Carpet

Our joy at having spotted the beautiful Ms. Shankar on the red carpet was rather short-lived. While we love the fact that she took the Indian-inspired route with her look for the premiere, the actual choice of outfit left us cold.

There is kitsch that works and kitsch that doesn’t and this particular outfit just didn’t.

It’s Giveaway Time!

Congratulations “Rohit Narvekar” and “D’Cunha”. You’ll be hearing from us soon!

—————————————————————————

Here’s your chance India to snag a copy of the Powder Room by Shefalee Vasudev! Shefalee offers an insider’s view of people who make the fashion industry what it is in India– from a lower-middle-class girl who sells global luxury for a living, to a designer who fights the inner demons of childhood sexual abuse yet managing to survive and thrive in the business of fashion, or a Ludhiana housewife on a perpetual fashion high.

“Shefalee shines the light on many of fashions secrets with this insightful, upbeat and gripping portrait of the Indian fashion industry. From the catwalks to the Luxury influx, from the inside politics to the deserving few, if you are curious about Indian fashion, this is the book to read.” – Suneet Varma

“What I learnt in two days twirling through the unputdownable Powder Room, I did not learn in twenty-five years in Indian fashion. Told with journalistic precision through the lives of fashion’s ‘beautiful’ folk, here is the glory and the underbelly, the neurosis and the sanity, the myth and the truth. I realise that being an insider, one of the players in fashion, in reality, it took Shefalee Vasudev to shows up the inner workings of a fascinating fish bowl.” – Wendell Rodricks
