In Hervé Léger?

At first glance, I could’ve sworn that model Prashita was wearing a Léger and considering everyone gravitates towards the bandage versions, I was pleasantly surprised to see her go for a non-bandage one. Except the more I compare the runway version with hers, the more differences I find. 🙁 (FYI, while runway pieces are sometimes modified when they reach stores, never seen a Léger that was.)

Ms. Puri’s been sporting a new hairstyle and while I don’t like it, I do think it could have been styled better to go with this dress. Oh, and how could I forget the satin shoes. If I had my way, pink satin monochromatic shoes would only be seen on ballerinas.

Delhi socialite Neeva Jain wears a Fall 2009 Stella McCartney dress with pointed boots, mimicking the runway look except that instead of wearing the thigh-high boots she goes for regular below-knee ones. Considering the dress falls above the knee, would have much preferred it if she had worn the dress with tights and pumps and skipped the shawl. It distracts from the bow-tie detail of the dress.

While we are curious to see the shoes Shilpa paired with this dress, we like what we see so far. The dress is perfect for the leggy lady and she looks great!

Black Was The Night

Black was the color de rigueur for these ladies who were at LV bash too, in what else but LV.

Loved the Spring 09 dress on Malaika and we thought Sameera wore her Pre-Fall 09 dress rather well too. Glad she skipped the brooch or covered it with her hair in any case. Either way, glad.

As for Shamita’s Fall 09 dress, let’s just say we weren’t fans of the dress as shown on the runway. At all. And so while we are glad she chose a slightly toned down/less puffy version of the dress to wear to the event (for which she does get credit), the dress does nothing for her. Or us.

But, did we already mention how much we loved Malaika’s look? 😉
