In Reem Acra

For a recent appearance of hers, Janhvi picked a Reem Acra dress to wear. With her hair partially pinned back, she rounded out the look with a choker and sparkly sandals.

Though the quality of pictures might have something to do with it, it was the styling that kept the overall look from being as impactful as it should have been. Wish the layered choker had been done away with; that combined with the hair seems a little too prom-ey. Skipping necklace and wearing her hair down in voluminous soft waves might have just done the trick!

In Twos

Two recent appearances, two minis… A definite change from Indian-wear she’s been mostly favoring for promotions up until now. Wavy hair, non-statement-y lip color and platform heels rounded out her look both times. Sara wore both the multi-color Hemant and Nandita number and the sparkly beaded Topshop mini well.

In Tarun Tahiliani

Wearing a Tarun Tahiliani lehenga, Raveena attended another wedding in Mumbai recently. Diamond and emerald jewelry and a gold-toned potli rounded out her look.

She looked nice but really wish that blouse/choli didn’t have sheer sleeves… It single-handedly brings down the look a notch or two. If the purpose is to bring in some weightlessness (and I am only guessing here) to an otherwise heavy lehenga, why not just go sleeveless or with short-sleeves to balance out the weightiness of the outfit?!

In Rimple And Harpreet Narula

For her appearance at the Ambani-Piramal wedding in Mumbai, Lara picked a lehenga by Rimple and Harpreet Narula to wear. With flowers in her hair, she rounded out the look with jewelry from Gehna.

If it’s not the clothes, it’s the styling that seems to let Lara down lately, the latter being the case with this appearance. I don’t understand the choice of flowers (baby’s breath? Why?)! A wispy low-knot or even wearing her hair down in soft waves, with not a flower in sight would’ve worked so much better!

In Manish Malhotra

For Kiara, it was a Manish Malhotra lehenga (?) at the wedding. Points for trying something different but novel isn’t always noteworthy. The blouse/choli might have been going for a Grecian vibe but it looked as if runaway drapes got caught in all those sequins… The loopy fabric would drive us to distraction!
