Lehenga Ladies

At a recent soirée, both Diana and Swara were photographed in lehengas. Can we straight away hand them points for their dupatta drape? They both looked nice. (Though I do wish Swara had skipped either the mang-teeka or opted for a smaller pair of earrings.)

In The Sixties Fashion

Pooja was among the few to skip Indian-wear at the Chopra-Jonas reception. Wearing a gown by The Sixties Fashion, the actor rounded out her look with a soft updo, oxblood lip color and understated earrings. That cape-like pleated detail on the shoulders could’ve been tricky but Pooja made it work for her; she looked rather statuesque at the event.

Wearing Manish Malhotra Tarun Tahiliani, Parineeti attended her cousin’s wedding reception in Mumbai. Polki jewelry and pink lip color rounded out her look. The color helped balance out all that gota on the ornate anarkali; Parineeti looked nice.

Of Gowns

While at a recent reception held in Mumbai, Raveena was photographed in a gown by Tanieya Khanuja, and Urmila in one by Manish Malhotra.

Though their respective gowns worked for them, I found Urmila’s relatively more relaxed and appropriate to attend someone’s reception in. I only wish she (Urmila) had chosen understated earrings and a clutch that didn’t clash with her gown so much.

At the Chopra-Jones reception, Vidya was photographed in a lehenga by Debyani. Wearing her hair down, she rounded out the look with gold jewelry. Personally, the lehenga was a bit too busy for me. But that said, Vidya did wear it well; the couple looked nice.
