One In Every Color?

Malaika liked the Mandira Wirk dress enough to wear it in another color at Dabangg’s success party. She paired the dress with Louboutin peep-toes and a McQueen skull clutch the second time around.

We don’t much care for the dress to begin with but if we had to pick a version, it’d have to be the one from the success bash.

Couple Talk

Cover Man Abhishek and Aishwarya made a handsome couple at the GQ India Men Of The Years Awards held tonight in Mumbai.

Although AB Jr. looked a bit tired, his fabulous 3-piece suit more than made up for it. We rarely seen men wear those and wear it well. Aishwarya wore an icy-hued Alberta Ferretti chiffon gown which I loved on her. She kept the jewellery to a minimum, offsetting the tiny jewel detail on the neckline with a jewelled Leiber clutch.

P.S. Abhishek won Ultimate GQ Man Of The Year and Aishwarya, The Excellence Award.

Deepika in Verve India: Decoded

Just reading this interview excerpt of Deepika’s bridal trousseau wish-list has us wanting her taking the jump pronto so we can have a looksee. ๐Ÿ™‚ That maybe a while away, but here is Deepika wearing more Bridal couture in the latest issue of Verve. You can catch her full interview on Verve here and the cover pic here.

However, Padukone isnโ€™t going to settle just for the traditional saat pheras. And she isnโ€™t particularly enthused about the Punjabisation of the Indian wedding. โ€œToday, even a non-Punjabi wants to have a Punjabi wedding,โ€ she says ruefully. She loves tradition and knows she will not stray far from her Mangalorean roots at her own wedding. But she also wants to have one ceremony in every religion, just so she can wear all the wonderful traditional outfits that go with each. โ€œI want to wear an embroidered gharara for my nikaah with a stunning maang tikka in my hair, a flowing white wedding gown in a church and a rich lehnga for the sangeet. For the South Indian wedding, I will wear a traditional Kanjeevaram sari from Nalli with a gold belt on my waist and braid my hair with jasmine,โ€ she says enthusiastically.

She has also thought through which designers she wants creating the wedding outfits. Itโ€™s important to her that each outfit is very different. โ€œTarun Tahiliani will make me a western gown style lehnga which will be my wedding outfit. I want Gudda (Rohit Bal) to create something in white, gold and silver for me because in my first year of modelling that was his Fashion Week collection and I remember thinking I wanted a wedding outfit like that. A dark maroon net sari by Sabyasachi (Mukherjee) with his Bengali aesthetic would also be lovely, as would a richly embroidered outfit by Anamika Khanna. My trousseau would be incomplete without a classic chiffon sari from Manish Malhotra because thatโ€™s what I grew up watching in his films,โ€ she says, finally pausing to breathe.

In L’Wren Scott

We’ve seen Sarah Jessica Parker wear this look off the runway as is and I loved how much drama the shoes add to the dress. On Tanya, as much as the dress fits really well, the hair and the silver kitten heels just don’t add to the look and the dress overwhelms. Although, I wish she had added high heels to offset the long dress, do understand that some days you just want to give those feet a rest. ๐Ÿ˜›

P.S. Tanya Sharma is married to Sabeer Bhatia and you can see their reception picture here.
