In A Beige Phase?

She wore a beige Rocky S for the IIFA Awards Fashion extravaganza back in June and at the Gitanjali Jewellery Fashion Show, Bips was spotted wearing another beige lehenga. We didn’t like the IIFA one much when we first saw it, but now that we’ve seen this other beige one, the IIFA one sure seems much better. Considering the Gitanjali event was all about showcasing the jewellery, the lehenga was a terrible pick and barely gelled with the diamond jewellery on her.

Which beige lehenga did you prefer?

  1. Both are bad. At IIFA she looked too muscular in that glittery lehenga. Here the lehenga is too gaudy and clashes with the jewelry that is supposed to be on display. Plus I don’t like the hair extensions.

  2. I’m not a fan of either of these lenghas.. but if I were to pick one, it’d be the first one (IIFA). I agree with you guys – diamonds totally don’t go with the second outfit!!!!

  3. Okay, inquiring minds want to know – IS this the new trend? Pairing white gold jewelry with yellow gold work on outfit?? I mean, typically i would think a kundan piece would match best with the lehenga, but I don’t see much kundan anymore – it all seems to be white gold + diamond jewelry.. Anyone?

    • Anita,
Kundan is and will always the best pick and although there is no strict rule for not wearing white gold/diamond jewellery, it depends a lot on the outfit too. A traditional lehenga with heavy work should be worn with Kundan whereas a simple one may warranty a simpler traditional diamond piece…

  4. she has a sexy vibe working for herself 9/10 times… so purely judging on terms of hotness.. i would pick the 1st appearance. 2nd isn’t bad either..just don’t like the outfit much
