A royal wedding took place in Bhutan this week with the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck marrying commoner Jetsun Pema.

The bridal trousseu had pieces designed by Manav Gangwani… And we have a picture (via twitter) of Manav Gangwani couture on the bride and groom below.

Loved their vibrant outfits!

P.S. This ins’t the only sighting we’ve had of Manav Gangwani’s designs. Check inside for more.

The designer also features in Love Breakups Zindagi. Manav’s designs feature in the song “Main Se Meena Se” which I have to add was a great blast from the past surprise factor.

Speaking of the movie, Ritu Kumar’s designs also featured heavily in the movie who was a brand partner. Her designs, especially from the Falaknuma collection, feature heavily throughout the movie.

  1. Congratulations to the King and Queen:) They look gorgeous.

Being a Hyderabadi, I was proud of the heritage when I visited Falaknuma palace in June, the grandeur and beauty of the palace is just stunning. Thrilled when Ritu Kumar came out with a collection in its honor and what a beautiful collection!!!

  3. Traditional outfits looks so stunning & elegant…In India as well we have traditional outfits from each region…. The typical kanjeevaram pattu, Kerela kashavu, Mekhala chador from Asaam, Puloi in Manipur…. Unfortunately in Modern India most people are going the “Tv Serial-embroidered” sari or the Brjatya movie style over the top lehengas….
