Ditto!
For photographer Anand Seth’s ’10’, an ode to Delhi’s elegant women achievers, Ayesha Thapar was photographed in the same Monisha Jaising embellished dress that we’ve seen before on Lara, Nina and Arpita…
Dress aside, we love the picture and love Ms. Thapar in it!

hmm what is her achievement besides manor born.. anyone knows??care to share???:)
don’t like the pic.. dress is hardly visible.. haughty expression
also at the first look.. the chandelier looks like massive head gear.. lol
wel for her achievments d only thing gud abt her s dat she wears gr8 clothes
Love the dress, the pose and the arm bangle! Very HS!
Not sure of the achievement part though…
I…actually don’t like the picture :/ I have a history in studio art, and it’s my love of design in general that led me to fashion. The focal point is way too centered, making 1. it look contrived and 2. look too uninteresting. I like the concept and the expresion and the dress (in the pic) but the compostion is juvenile. Rule of thirds, my dear photographer.
…I also love her arm thing 🙂
The arm thing is nice. I like the sepia effect and how two tones seem to merge. It isn’t great but I like how the lamp closest to Ayesha looks like. I think taking the same shot as a normal picture wouldn’t have made anything better either. The background seems pretty generic..could be a hotel room. I am not sure about the dress, styling, pose and the rest.
Oh…I think you misunderstand. It has nothing to do with the effects of the picture, but the compostition. If they had shot her even sitting on the table, JUST NOT SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PHOTO, it would have been better.
The background is a bit ordinary, but I think it’s something that can be easily remedied.
agree
This is the most absurd pose I have seen in a magazine. it looks as if she is having an arm spasm
Terrible photography…
I like Ayesha Thapar!
I agree with Ko and hate the pic- does she ever smile in a photograph??!!
I love her, I think she is one of India’s most beautiful women. Google her to know about her achievements, its a bit of an eye opener. dont dismiss her as a “Manor” born girl.
About the pic, its juvenile and contrived. Horribly shot, bad pose, bad sepia tone…if he wanted to make it look old, she should have been styled like a 1920’s diva..a la Gayatri Devi. This is neither her or there.
She has a Chandelier growing out of her head !!!!
What aweful photography !!!
*awful
