In Spendthrift By Falguni and Shane Peacock

Sure the Peacocks may be known for their prints, even OTT prints at times, but there is such a thing as ‘too much of a good thing’!

With smocked cuffs, a prominent brooch and an overwhelmingly busy print (with newsprint, skulls and floral details), there’s just too much going on! If that wasn’t enough, Ayesha paired her outfit with some rather fierce shoes which we ordinarily would have loved but here, instead of giving this look an ‘edge’ it just fights for eyeball time, making the whole ensemble even more exhausting on the eyes.

Perhaps minus the balloon sleeves the look would’ve worked but as is, it’s an unfortunate ‘Not Quite’ for Ayesha.

  1. I don’t like this outfit..but there is something about Ayesha..even in the worst of outfits she always has that happy face expression that just says..I am happy the way I am and I am in love with life..something like that :o)

  2. Agreed but somehow I quite like what the outfit entails overall. Nothing earth shattering but a good tunic(Cut/Quality/Print kept in mind), leggings and great shoes and the right subtle details like the pink pedicure here; make for a winning chic casual oufit every-time.

  4. ummmmm…..this is a type of look that if you guys were to say “she rocks it” then everyone else would love it too. It’s personally not to my taste, but I feel like she does succeed somewhat at creating the edgy appearance that she was going for. you guys have become wayyyyyy too biased these days. Though I have no right to complain, because it’s your blog, I do miss the old PnP, who were a lot fairer in their criticism. I can bet you that if sonam or soniya mehra or someone like that wore this outfit, nothing would be “fighting for eyeball time”. let’s get real guys before you completely lose credibility.

and before i get lynched by others, let me just say that it’s even about “who can pull off the same exact clothes and who can’t”.

  5. I think that the colours don’t justify her peaches and cream complexion-It completetely drags her down…The red flower in the print however is saving the day for her!
