In Alexander McQueen
Avantika attended day 1 of Chivas Studio in a McQueen dress paired with River Island platform ankle sandals and jewellery by Akaliko. While the color was great on her, the fit of the dress seemed a wee bit off.
We get why Avantika gravitates towards platform footwear but wish she’d reserve them more for appearances in denims/pants vs dresses. Most times, the footwear looks chunky and distracts from the look.
She was styled by Tia Paranjape.

I agree: the colour is pretty but the fit is way off and the accessories (shoes, neck piece) are distracting and somehow ‘cheapen’ the look. Tia Paranjpe needs to get back to the drawing board.
she always dresses the worst. I thought she was an heiress. Money doesn’t buy you taste
The shoes cut the length of her legs and the dress also makes her look stocky…
She looks very matronly.
Great colour; dress could use a few less inches on the hemline is all.
I hate her heels choise, and the necklace, out of place!! Mrs Avantika does need a good stylist!!!
Better innerwear would have helped too.
the dress isn’t working for her and she needs to hire another stylist.
This is ridiculous. I am shocked these stylists get paid for such poor work. Would this look work on someone like Deepika? Sure. But Avantika is a completely different body type and it’s a stylist’s job to be able to find the right clothes for their client, not just pick up whatever is being shown in magazines. These stylists are both lazy and extremely poor in dressing up anyone who’s not tall and skeletal.
Why would someone put peplum on a short, chubby woman? Why would you have the dress fall below the knee? Why would you put them in chunky shoes that make the legs look shorter?
is that karan johar next to her in the last pic? i thought i recognized his pout.
point number 1 – WHYYY is she featured on this blog? never gets it right and has had enough “chances”. same thing with aishwariya. PnP, i salute your optimism, but hadTh ho gayi yaar.
point number 2 – “She was styled by Tia Paranjape.” my god. somebody is owning up to this look?
Omit the chunky neckpiece and tie up the hair, and this look may have worked, methinks. Right now, its just too crowded.
Am I the only one having visions of a leprechaun?
