Huma too picked Nikhil Thampi for the Awards night. Side-swept hair helped show off the Atelier Mon ear cuff and ankle-strap peep-toes finished out her rather dramatic look.

This is quite the departure from what we’ve been seeing on her lately and makes for a refreshing change. I like the look on her… Huma looked good!

Wearing a part silk, part sheer Nikhil Thampi sari, Kalki attended the Screen Awards. With her hair in an updo, black pumps and a pair of Amrapali earrings is all that it took to finish out the look.

She looked great! Love.

Wearing a silver and nude Amit GT, Ms. Sinha attended the recent Awards night. Jewelry from Viange (earrings) and House Of Chic (ring), a Pinky Saraf clutch and nude Dune pumps finished out her look. Side-swept hair and a burst of color via her hot pink lips added the finishing touches to her look.

While she looked great, do have a tiny gripe with the hair… Would’ve much preferred retro-inspired waves. That said, the do wasn’t a deal-breaker. And like mentioned before, Sonakshi did look nice!

In a crop top from Koëcsh and polka-dot pants from ASOS, co-host of this year’s Filmfare Awards, Priyanka Chopra channeled a bit of retro-quirk at the recent press conference.

Earrings from Koëcsh, retro-ispired do, cat-eye glasses, Zara shoes and hot pink lips finished out her blast-from-the-past-but-marginally-updated look.

Minus the choice of shoes and the fact that this look is so out of character for Ms. Chopra that it borders on the theatrical, we did think it was a fun look that didn’t quite come together as it should have. Props for effort, a ‘not quite’ on the execution.

It’s been good to see PC experiment and broaden her repertoire beyond the body-con.

Alia On Elle India: (Un)Covered

Elle gave us a very striking cover this month… The all-mint, rather minimalist cover with Alia in retro-inspired garb has a rather arresting quality about it.

That said though, the starkness of the cover does highlight even the barest of imperfections. Not that it’s a deal-breaker. In an age where even the slightest imperfection is smoothed away, the folds on Alia’s pants are something we can live with. (And it only stood out in the first place because of the smooth composition of the cover!)

P.S. Alia is wearing Turquoise and Gold top and trousers, a Louis Vuitton scarf as a headwrap and jewellery from Isharya.
