For her appearance at the IIFAs, Bipasha picked a Gaurav Gupta gown. With her hair slicked back in to a ponytail, she rounded out the look with a striking red lip.

If there was anyone who could’ve pulled off this gown, it was her. And neck-up, you just can’t fault Ms. Basu. But, and there’s a but coming, she lost us at the dress. The peekaboo navel through the sheer panel just made the gown look so dated. We weren’t fans.

In Carolina Herrera

Huma picked a Carolina Herrera gown for the awards night. With her hair styled in soft waves, the actor rounded out her look with Aurelle by Leshna Shah earrings and a reddish-brown lip color.

Huma looked lovely; that color was a great pick for her. That said, it’s hard to give the gown a pass without pointing out a glaring flaw… The puffiness/puckering at hem and seams. We aren’t sure if the fabric is to blame or if the actual finishing needed attention, either way the gown let Ms. Qureshi down. And that’s a shame because like we said earlier, she looked lovely.

In Steven Khalil

Wearing a Steven Khalil dress, Taapsee attended the IIFAs. Big hair, strappy sandals and jewelry from Renu Oberoi and Narayan jewellers rounded out the actor’s look.

If you’ve been with the blog long enough, you know we’ve never been big fans of the long sheer overlays on shorter dresses/lining. And while Taapsee to her credit fares better than most others would in it, it just wasn’t one of our favorites of the night. And you can chalk that up to our personal taste!

For the big awards night, Dia picked a printed Rocky S gown. With her hair partly pinned back, she rounded out the look with jewelry from H.Ajoomal and a printed clutch.

That’s a lot of print, and that’s a lot of volume… You’d think Dia would be completely overwhelmed by it but that wasn’t the case at all. The actor brings a certain whimsy to it and it worked for her. The DeBo vibe played out well; Dia looked nice.

Wearing a Reve By Khushali Kumar gown, Tulsi Kumar attended the IIFA Rocks event last evening. For the main awards event underway tonight, the songstress picked Sabyasachi to wear.

Midriff bearing, volume-heavy both looks might have been, but that’s where all similarity ended. Of the two, no prizes for guessing, the appearance in Sabyasachi had our vote. The bodice on Reve…Tacktastic!
