In Vineet Bahl

Turns out that this floral number that some of you loved (and me) and some of you hated was a Vineet Bahl creation.

One thing we sure can agree on, can’t we? Asin sure wore this one way better!

  2. asin makes this dress look good. i think it’s the way her hair’s done, it looks good with the dreess. also, the fit is better on asin, and the shoes are way better. almost looks more professional and decent.

the model is wearing a bikini top under the dress, you can even see the horizontal black line. what was vineet bahl thinking?

  3. I’m actually just stunned at the fact that are still models in existence with BREASTS! even though I’d wager that those are purchased “assets”, if you catch my drift? lolz

Anyway, yes…Asin wears it better, in my opinion.

  6. @ Sonia99 …. ‘cheap’ and ‘tacky’ are subjective, arent they? We have seen, on this site itself, many people wear expensive seeming clothes that end up looking ‘cheaper’ and ‘tackier’ than some of the stuff you get in Big Bazaar… Ultimately, it’s about the style of the wearer, how they carry off anything… Remember the pairing of the Armani Jacket with a Gap t-shirt that became such a hit? And Kate Moss also has a line out for Topshop, which makes ‘cheap’ clothes… Izaac Mizrahi for Target… the list goes on…

As for this comparison, It’s so good to see that showing skin doesnt work all the time… it does help sometimes though 😉 lol

what u stated bothers me A LOT. in university i had a lot of classmates who had to pay their tuition through their teeth, knew everything about fashion but couldnt afford LVs and loubs, and often resorted to highstreet like topshop, forever 21, new look, H&M etc etc. it not about what u wear, its how u wear it..
We have several references to tacky and cheap in HHC itself: read “divya khosla” and women carrying a birkin like their going to buy grocery!

I dont really need to reply after a couple of people above me have already replied on your comment …. I would still like to add on to it. It is okay if u call something tacky , that is your ur taste or ur preference. However, anything that is cheap does not automatically become tacky.

  9. I agree with preeths. A glance at the price tag of an item is never needed to judge who’s a fashionista and who isn’t. I am sure tons of stylish people get their shopping done at the cheapest rate possible. And after looking at Anu Deewan, Divya Khosla, Ekta Kapoor and many others, it’s more than obvious that money never equals style.

  10. @ preeths…I TOTALLY agree with you! Fashion is all about how you wear it, not how much it costs. If you wanna see ‘tacky’ just look at half the ladies they post on here 😉

LOVVVVVE this dress, and love how asin looks in it 🙂

  11. To all my fellow fashionistas. Yes, cheap and tacky is relative and in my opinion BB clothes are cheap and tacky.
Nowhere have I said people should not wear cheap clothes. If I was a millionaire who always wore designer duds, i would probably be featured on the site, not commenting on it.
I haven’t ever found a wearable item at BB. Am happy for you if you have.
Finally, I can only think of Walmart to compare to BB, Gap, H&m, Zara, Topshop are really not the right comparisons.
