In Arpita Mehta

For their respective events, Asin and Vaani picked Arpita Mehta with the former picking a sari and the latter, an anarkali.

Asin wore her sari well, but I for one, wasn’t a fan of the 80’s power-shoulder feel of the blouse. Deal breaker for you?

Vaani, kept it simple, and considering some of the gaudy outfits we saw on the runway at this event, it was a good thing! Wish we had better pics of her.

  1. vani’s outfit looks good. a necklace would have made a difference. so did a good hair-do. Asin’s sari n blouse- not my cup of tea. She looks lovely though!

  2. Asin looks fierce and elegant in equal measure. I have a thing for power-puff shoulder garments and this one is no exception. The heart-shaped cutout at the back of the blouse is a welcome peek-a-boo in an otherwise conservative outfit. Coupled with the updo and the accessories, she is a vision.

  3. I quite like Asin actually(for a change). Your bias against her is evident; picture Sonam Kapoor in the same outfit, and make that an Anamika Khanna.. She’d earn raving reviews for wearing that 🙂

  4. Honestly speaking, I think the power shoulders add to the look. It takes it from normal to couture. And the heart cut-out in the back adds to the effect. It works well for Asin’s shape as well.

  5. I hardly comment but looking at your bias attitude, I was bound to comment! If she were Sonam Kapoor, you would have been going gaga over her!! Asin is looking lovely and that blouse is certainly adding an edge to her look.
