Of Promotions

Even before the trailer launch, Anushka had kicked off Sui Dhaga promotions wearing Chola white top and pants and a floral print maxi from Péro on Sunday. Tuesday saw her in separates from Two Two.

If you’ll notice, so far, she’s been wearing Indian labels and I am guessing it is to align with the movie’s theme, Made In India. We sure are looking forward to seeing more of her promotional looks showcasing Indian designers.

  1. She looks effortlessly stylish. Probably once of the only actresses to retain her personal sense of style and personality. Kudos to her and her stylist !!

  2. I love her style and also the fact that she does not feel the need to wear floor length, sequined, brigh anarkalis for daytime promotions.

  3. I am sooo glad that she’s not going with the in-character appearances. Kudos for going with the Indian Brands…But I would really love it if she incorporates the textile/weaves of India. Loved her in the brocade pants that she wore earlier. She is sticking with her style sensibilities and that in today’s time itself is an achievement…n

    • Would really really love if she wears the indian weaves and textiles. Need not be a saree or suit. Maybe a stole, dupatta, skirt, shirt … myriad ways with a bit more of thinking and creativity. Hering a public figure, that would be a major exposure to our textiles and a form of support and solidarity to our weavers.

  4. Liking all the looks…Anushka is effortlessly stylish and has an individual style that stands out. She is never a fashion victim and I like that about her.

  5. She looks so beautiful and I echo everyone else’s thoughts that she has developed her own sense of style and it’s so effortless and natural. After all the MM party appearances seeing her is like a breath of fresh air!
