In Sabyasachi

Anushka visited the sets of Voice India on Sunday to promote Phillauri and for her appearance sported a Sabyasachi lehenga.

Priyanka and I may be die-hard Sabya fans but I couldn’t bring myself to like this particular design. The contrast between the wide border and the floral print felt much too jarring. Especially given that the choli already had that gorgeous jewelled neckline, I wish the skirt had no border at all. But then if I am wishing, I would’ve loved to see her in something from his Spring 2017 Couture line. Now, that whole collection had us drooling on our phones/laptops.

I also wasn’t a fan of the severe middle-parted hairdo and that velvet bow. They didn’t help in balancing out the voluminous outfit.

Did you like the lehenga or her here?

  1. I think they were trying to go for the classic Sabyasachi promo hair here except his models have gorgeous earrings, jewelry off-setting the severe hair. She needs a pop of color on her lips and some nice jhumkas to finish this look, and oh yeah ditch that hair bow/ribbon, looks silly!

    • I couldn’t agree more. An outfit like this without earrings is going nowhere. And I hate hate hate the makeup and hair.
By now I think it’s safe to say that Anushka is no fun in either department.

  2. I actually like the skirt but shouldnt have come with border. Reminds me of a zara shahjahan lehngha from last year but that was very feminine with a beige blouse. Dont mind the black either but the hair lets the look down and that bow needs to be thrown to the opposite end of the earth.
You need make up with a look like this – one that ash always nsils. But anushka doesnt have the aura to carry a look like this.

  3. It’s not a sabyasachi if he doesn’t through a border at it, that print with that giant border is awful. I like the hair and makeup with this silhouette, adding some earrings and big bangles or bracelets would’ve given her a gypsy vibe.

  4. Looks like she didn’t have any time to finish up dressing. Inspite of wearing the voluminous lehega the look feels bare. Or maybe she just didn’t have time to finish dressing up and had to show up on set ASAP 🙂

  5. I don’t like the print on the lehenga. The print combined with the border looks way too jarring. Also not at all loving the hair and make up. It looks too severe. A definite miss from Anushka.
