Anushka was seen at the Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards wearing a white gown by Marmark Halim. I was already put off by the shiny material but also not helping were those big sleeves and the hairdo. This one was a miss.

as with malaika, i think either the neckline or the sleeves, on their own, would’ve worked. both together look a bit stifling.
that said, SUCH a relief from the cleavage-toting, barely there garments starlets seem to prefer these days.
can someone tell me how do they go pee in such heavy dresses.. which wear so frequently to parties? I mean once/twice i understand… do they have to stay away from fluids at parties?
color and thigh cut is great btw. not puffy sleeves.

It looks like a floating head for some reason. The dress isn’t bad, just looks awkward.
That gown is eating her alive!!!
The broad shoulders are making her face look extremely tiny in proportion to the entire frame.

Kudos to Anoushka for trying out a silhouette as tricky as this one….but
1. given the shit-tonnes of fabric in the upper half of the dress, maybe a pony-tail would have been a better idea. Would have allowed her the room to go really crazy with the ear-rings too
2. and with that long awkward slit, she definitely should have switched her shoes for minimalistic nude ankle-straps (and a nude pedi)
For tricky pieces like this one, its so critical to have a few trials/options…I somehow feel this was the first time all the pieces of this look were put in the same place at the same time, and just a few minor edits could have elevated this look by at least a gadzillion times

That is an unforgiving fabric and the gown needed a better silhouette and less aggressive sleeves.
