In Lanvin

It’s HDIL Couture Week which means five days of Ms. Dewan sporting the best fashion labels. Day one saw her in a gold Lanvin Pre-Fall dress that she paired with a gold clutch and gold sandals. Love the dull gold and Ms. Dewan wore it well but do wish she had changed up the hair. A ponytail would’ve really elevated this look.

But, then it is Anu we are talking about, and we don’t remember ever seeing her wear one. Here’s hoping she tries something new the rest of the days.

  1. Oh God! If this is not a match much/OD of Gold what is? Don’t want to sound mean but she looks like the women from sowcarpet, Chennai. LOL. Only diff is, they would wear this gold dress much better and would’ve had it stitched at the local darzi for under $15.

    • Totally agree with Adara, if this is not match much wat is … but guess wat!!! this is Anu D we are talking ‘bout so how can P & P say anything bad ‘bout the look … had anyone else worn it, wud definitely b in mach much category & god forbid if it was Prinyanka Chopra :p
I’m a big fan your blog P & P but I think you girls are heavily biased and it hinders the credibility of your blog.

  2. Alber Elbaz is a personal favorite of mine, but this is one of those dresses that can either look utterly adorable or something that the local tailor created for a birthday party. Anu does not belong to those who propel the dress into the former category; the hair, as you girls pointed out, would have made a world of difference.

    • omg Mads in that dress looked awesome!

but i think anu always just looks like a “well to do housewife”…not that there’s anything wrong with that, but she may wanna do something different sometimes…it’d make her life exciting too lol

  3. The amount of venom on this blog is nauseating. The “its a fashion blog, so we’re allowed to be as spiteful as we want” excuse is absolute rubbish. Top-notch fashion blogs like The Sartorialist and Garance Dore have such graceful, educated comments.

This site is filled with women taking out their bitterness either on the people featured or on PnP for their supposed ‘biases’. Fashion is an opinion!!! Everyone *will* have biases. And don’t even get me started on the narrow-minded moralists. Why come to a fashion blog if the slightest hint of cleavage/ peek of a bra through a shirt rendered transperant scandalizes you?

    • frankly, I am really sad that hardly anybody discusses fashion and everyone is busy attacking each other for having an opinion and having favorites.
      *sighs*
and agree about The Sartorialist..such an elegant blog!!!

    • i agree… sometimes there are a lot of comments which are more about personal attacks than fashion.
this look is doing nothing for me but based on this one instance i can hardly call P&P biased in favour of Anu.
Anyway … purely on the display of labels… its always a treat to watch Anu 🙂

  4. What I would give to have this woman’s wardrobe!

I love the dull gold fabric, its so chic without being all blingy. Its a difficult dress to accessorize though. Without tights, black shoes would look awful. The gold/bronze color does not match with most other colors.

  5. I like how “not in your face blingy” this gold color is..but i guess thats about it.
the pattern is too busy and even the tiniest amount of accessories is gonna add to that” busy” ness.
