Alia wore a Monsoori gown to the Filmfare Awards and while at first glance the tiered tulle piece looked striking, when looked at more closely, one felt the bodice made her look bigger than she is.
If you looked at the same gown on Kelly Rowland (see here), you’ll notice the bodice straps is more tightly packed which gave the illusion of a narrower waistline.
In Alia’s case, a belt would’ve helped alleviate the issue a bit. Having said that, she did look nice. Like what you see. Catch another picture here.

The color and her cuteness is just lovely.. but that tiering of the gown.. looks like a statement pouffe on which she’s seated.
She looks too cute. Color is gorgeous. She is trying to experiment but within her comfort zone of keeping it neat/classy which is a welcome change.
The dress is wearing her, instead of the other way round. Not a good pick.
Yup totally agree, I don understand why choose a risqué gown if u want to widen the bodice straps and just basically f up the whole design aesthetic?

She did look cute but yes, a better fit around her upper waist line would have made her look less broad.

I didnt like this appearance. The top layers look as if they were cut with shears and its just too big and broad for her

This is a pretty gown and the hairdo perfectly complements it too! But even I had the same thoughts as P&P when I saw the gown on her .. The gown is supposed to create an illusion of a thin waist but here it makes her look broader than she is ..

Something about this gown, I go back and forth with how I feel about this look! Alia’s hair and make up looks flawless. But I agree with P&P the bodice straps if narrower could have made the gown look more structured. Overall on the fence about this one!!
