In Sabyasachi
Alia attended the Star Screen Awards on Sunday wearing a striped Sabyasachi sari. She also wore a green polka dotted suit by the designer on Saturday evening to a wedding. Alas, while I love the sari and the suit, I wish she hadn’t sported the same Sabyasachi signature finishing touches with both.

The saree is love
What is designer about this green bandhni print! I am so bored of sabya now!
And dupatta kurta and pants also in the same print.
I feel the same. Even the suit that Rani was wearing a few posts earlier was nothing exciting or designer.
The symmetry of the slicked back hair, her ears sticking out due to it and the long ear-rings is weird – makes her look like a bobble-doll. The saree itself is pretty. The green bandhni is what you’s find in any saree/dress store.
That said, Alia’s smile makes most of these looks bearable.
The suit is reminding me of green Hajmola candy 😀
Loooveee the saree
I don’t like the sari. Its not looking designer at all. I quite like the suit though.
She copies Deepika a lot, i hadn’t realized until i read comments on HHC. Apart from clothing, styling and appearances, she also cries at weddings, awards and promotional events something we’ve seen DP doing since the beginning of her career. This particular look screams DP
The sari would have been lovely with looser hairdo .. Alia does do DP -like looks most of the time.
Well with deepika finally moving on from this look, alia is here to fill those shoes . I miss the old alia
I love the green suit…its so beautiful. Alia looks lovely even though she is sporting signature Sabya hair n makeup.
She is beginning to look like a Sabya catalogue model!
Thou it was Sabya but both the looks are really really different
She looked lovely in both no complaints
no comment on the ugly shows with the saree??
*shoes
To simple
She is not at all copying deepika. She is looking much glamorous and better than DP. She is alia herself in all the photos
I see how everyone says Deepika…she is actually a Anushka afficianado it seems? It’s like an unwritten rule that Sabya will stop supplying his clothes to these women if they break away from his dress code of chapati flat hair and large earrings? Dare not stray from the aesthetic…how stifling can such styling be to creativity? Why do these women hire stylists????

On an aside, I see that mine as well a few other comments have been deleted…they followed all the posting rules of the blog and had nothing offensive. What’s up P & P?
