For Alia, it was a lime green Sabyasachi lehenga from the designer’s latest Spring collection. Her styling was quite similar to Karisma’s Sabyasachi from earlier in the day. Having said that though, the color was quite refreshing and she looked pretty!
The nitpicky me, though, would’ve liked to see a braid. The hair worn down was a tad messy.

Wow – how pretty does she look neck up. I love her in the bindi and the color looks so fresh on her. I just wish the lehenga was more streamlined, she looks engulfed in fabric.
I’d like to be in the minority here.. while she looks pretty and the colour is lovely and refreshing.. the outfit and the styling with maang tikka et al was apt for the day wedding.. the reception needed a more contemporary young outfit.. wish she wouldve worn one of the crop top lehengas from arpita mehta or masaba’s indo fusion..

Not too piqued about the outfit, which also seems a tad OTT. I don’t get the concept of why guests would consciously try to wear bridal attire and jewellery like fancy maang tikas. It just seems very non apt and borderline silly even if it’s not a rule.
I can understand Khushi abd jhaanvi going this route as they are her sisters but it looks weird when every other guest turns up this way!
Nowadays it’s a fashion! And seriously speaking I want all the guest to dress up nicely in my wedding If the function is grand then you should dress up accordingly there is nothing wrong . Nowadays people like to dress up according the status.
Was thinking the same thing…like it’s just so strange seeing other film fraternity members show up to the reception like it’s their own
Exactly my thought! There is some etiquette to follow as guests in dressing up, please we all want to look nice at a wedding but dont turn up as bride yourself or desperately steal limelight from immediate family members.

Best dressed of the night for me. I dont think it looks bridal as the only thing it plays on is colour. Its so striking and sits so well on her that its breath taking. No bling, no accessories that are forced..just cut and colour. Its genius to wear this at a summer wedding

I hope she is able to handle all that yards of fabric she has immersed herself in. Colour is absolutely lovely but the entire ensemble is decidedly OTT. Funny how her entire Raazi promotional tour has her in simple clothing and subtle styling and here she wears all that heavy and flared attire… makes me conclude just how each look of these celebrities is ‘curated’ as opposed to the ‘natural style’, we foolishly believe in! All the more true in case of Alia because she is constantly hailed as somebody who keeps it simple and ‘stays true to her simple style’.
It’s only her PR who keeps parroting that, along with how cute a couple she makes with Ranbir.
