Of Promotions

Wearing a green kurta suit by Nidhi Tholia, Alia flew to Ujjain for promotions of her movie on Tuesday evening. She looked lovely but didn’t really like the patch alteration.

Alia wore a gharara set from Gulabo in Hyderabad this past weekend which was embbroidered with “Love” and “Baby On Board” on it. She looked nice in the pink but can’t say I cared for the text. Mostly because it limited the use of the outfit and in this day and age, we all should be a lot more mindful. (You may say that stars never wear the outfit again, but then most of the star worn clothes are returned and sold at a discounted rate and in this case, it wouldn’t be easy to sell this one.)

  2. Delicious colour combination in look 1 and with the gajra & the earrings – the look is complete and wholesome. Don’t care for look 2. Need for roomy clothes during pregnancy aside, it’s still too much fabric. The text doesn’t look fun and the hair doesn’t work either.

  3. The pink looks really silly….despite that she looks quite pretty in it. Green looks lovely on her . Hear you on the patch…but doesn’t take away from the lovely look !

  4. I treat it like a maternity outfit, how many times will she be able to wear it, she will outgrow it soon and then after the birth she will probably be smaller again. Might as well enjoy it now

  5. She looks great in her first look. One of my favorite color combinations.

Loved the color and idea of the second one. You only become preggers for the first time once. She is having her moment and loving it. And if it goes on discount I’m sure another ecstatic preggy mom would gladly buy it. I know I would a) if I could afford it and b) if I was pregnant.

  6. The first one is nice, love the colour combo and the gajra is such a lovely touch but the suit and dupatta in itself aren’t anything to write home about, nothing “designer”. Love that she keeps her make-up simple. The second one is so tacky and juvenile. Screams attention hungry and desperate..anything for promotions I guess. The less said the better.

  7. Pink is kinda silly and cheesy. A random T with those letters is fine, but actual intricate weaving for a day’s worth is sort of meh..

    Liked the green

  8. Alia looks divine in the first look. The pink is rather tacky. Alia’s maternity style on the whole has been quite poor. Her stylist needs to have a rethink!

  9. Why is ok to have messages on t-shirts but not Kurtis – wear it once, donate it to someone having a baby shower next, pass on the joy she is undoubted feeling with is outfit.
