Alia and Ranbir did a griha pravesh puja at their new home where she was seen in a tissue handloom sari, embellished by Manish Malhotra. The sleeve design was interesting and one that I liked.
Anyone able to identify the weave from the design in the pallu? Feels like a tissue kanjeevaram but am probably wrong.

Hair is too severe…it’s a light saree, wispy low bun would have suited alia better

This was utterly lovely all the way.. and also perfectly draped. id like to.. but won’t change a thing.
Her hair colour looks jarring against the soft aesthetics of the look. This saree is what I see every other woman wearing these days – gossamer fabric in a rose-gold hue. From this perspective, full points on the relatability factor however, that MM embellishment is adding nothing to the saree. I shudder to think that he charges for this utter lack of imagination and the bollywood brigade happily buys into it. Oh boy, MM you have a little (fraud) boogie going on in the name of being a designer.
Like the blouse silhouette, the gajra and the earrings on her.
The celebs get it free…he probably pays Alia to wear his designs!
