Day two festivities saw Alia in an Elie Saab gown from the 2023 Spring Couture collection. This collection had many looks that were sari-inspired so maybe it was a concious move by Rhea to not put Alia in one. I, however, wish that she had picked them. They looked exquisite. This particular gown though looked great on the runway with its sheer lining. With one, it wasn’t translating well. I also don’t like that choker.

Agree!! I like the runway version more.Having said that I still like the overall look..
The outfits look so good on the models. On Alia, it doesn’t fare well. She is was going for Cleopatra with her makeup but seemed to have stopped mid way.

Priyanka did the sheer version was it was not well received here … so curious about the recommendation here.
I said the sheer version looked better, it doesn’t mean I wanted Alia to wear it. Some gowns look better on runway and don’t translate well with the lining into real life. My recommendation for is the other two.
Oh the runway version is a completely different looking one.. I mean that’s gorgeous. ALIA looks beautiful but the outfit is nothing close to one on model… looks like a toned down mm.
Even though this is couture, I feel like with yesterday’s event and today’s, I’ve just seen a host of celebrities in such similar outfits that this gown and look lack novelty.
It’s unflattering on Alia… Her other saree look was so good.

Alia chose the wrong Elie Saab here. the second and third ones on the right among the three models would’ve looked so beautiful. and what’s the need for all these celebs to show their boobaage and cleavage all the time? Even madhuri is doing that! hey bhagwaan.
Alia can pull off most things since she is young and pretty, however, I am fearful that her styling is going to go all messed up since rhea kapoor is now styling her. Why didn’t she pick a better stylist?
This look just did not translate well on Alia. She is not able to pull it off. Also, might I add that I’m surprised how vastly different this looks on the red carpet compared to her instagram posts. Seems like they were heavily edited.
Love the runway gowns but I think Alia still looks nice in a princessy kind of way.
The other 2 dresses are so much nicer , she should hav chosen one of those to wear
