How is such a shabby drape lovely?
What is shabby about this? This is how most people drape sarees for everyday wear. She looks lovely
Ummm most people don’t dress like this everyday especially not to meet the Prime Minister .Shabby drape or not , couldn’t dressed in normal clothes like Karishma and Neethu
What an odd choice of saree to meet the PM
And what a lousy drape. So sloppy
If it is Raj Kapoor Centenary meeting with the PM this saree is too flimsy a choice.
Delhi is cold ! odd choice of fabric and a very odd choice of blouse for the event and place.
Alia has been wearing same style of blouse for sarees for long with that same hairstyle. It’s kinda getting boring. I guess it’s her signature look. Also seem inappropriate to wear to meet the PM.
The blouse was the downer here… Too bare for the event in question. Alia is still in Rocky & Rani ki Prem Kahaani mode !
This comment section is insane. How is this drape disrespectful or shabby or inappropriate or sloppy? If a guy can’t handle the glimpse of skin, he shouldn’t be leading the country!
Also, people do realize she’s not doing any meetings the second after these pix are taken?
Absolutely agree. People still think a woman’s body is somehow shameful/offensive and needs to be completely covered up. The fault is entirely in their perspective. She’s not in a miniskirt ffs.
a bhatt wouldn’t know about event appropriate politesse, so her dressing like some yash johar movie extra is unsurprising. such a misfit.
How much skin women want to show is entirely a personal decision. On a fashion blog, I only judge aesthetics and I applaud Alia’s saree.
Absolutely love the sari itself. What a gorgeous color. Yes, the drape was sloppy and the skimpy blouse event inappropriate. Her white sari drape at the main centennial event was sloppy as well.
