Alia was seen at the Raj Kapoor 100th birth anniversary celebration wearing a floral printed Sabyasachi sari paired with a simple pearl choker. After wearing her hair for a long time in a bun with saris, she wore it down. She looked nice but that drape right down the middle of the blouse was a bit of a downer.

The open hair n a proper blouse are a welcome change… So this is a huge improvement on her usual saree looks. Guess all the kapoor ladies wore white n gents wore black for this Raj Kapoor centenary event.
The intentionally tacky drape solely brings down what would have otherwise been a very classic and beautiful look to now going ewww…
Very pretty! But her face needed something extra – maybe some earrings/lip color/bindi, etc.

The beach make up didn’t help a demure soft look, but yeah love seeing alia with hair down.

Wearing a sari and intentionally not covering the chest area in a decent manner should be an absolute no-no. Defeats the intent of the sari. Especially at an event one is expected to look demure and respectful. This is a fail for me.
Chest area is covered re. What u say man! Bouse hai na. Blouse ke upar sareee nahi to kya hua bhidu – imagination bhaage ga sabka? To bhaagne do. Log to waisaich bavle hai.

Not a matter of imagination running wild. It just looks tacky and event inappropriate. Makes sense if it was her Gangubai avatar, but not to your grandfather-in-law’s tribute event. Just not done.

Meh saree, something about her hair color and the saree color is clashing and washing her out.
The saree and hair is lovely , very muted and unlike a Bollywood look . Her “ sunburnt/ sun kissed look “ isn’t that great . Needed more pigmented lips and some Kajal perhaps .

i don’t know why she always drapes her saree that way by showing off one boob. even while visiting PM, the half sheer saree was draped that way but the shawl hid that.
