Often during promotions and for her movie’s screenings, Alia chose to keep things simple in Indian-nwear. Wearing her hair down, she rounded out the look with strappy sandals and understated jewelry.

I really wish stylists would choose streamlined, well-fitted clothes for Alia. She has so much going for her — freshness, beauty, youth — but usually appears overwhelmed and lost in the meters of fabric that they seem to drop her into. The last Patine outfit is the one that really works for me: it’s clean, simple and she owns it, rather than looking like she’s borrowed clothes off someone six sizes larger.
