In Australia mainly for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day race, Aishwarya attended two other events for the brand as well while in Sydney.

While I don’t have an issue with wearing the same designer at all three events, I did think wearing the same silhouette to all three events was a bit much. Really wish she had had more variety.

Having said that though, she did look good in the first and third look. The grey strapless dress though was a disaster. Between the length, the dull color and the folds that added bulk, there was really nothing to like about it.

    • Does anyone else think that Ash’s fascinator in the middle gray dress looks more like Mickey Mouse’s hat?

I just can’t get mickey mouse out of my head. She looks pretty good otherwise.

  1. She looks ridiculous in all 3 looks. The first one stumpifies her beyond belief, the second is too bulky, and third too bridesmaidish.

  2. Oh shut up HHC! You guys always have a negative thing to say on Ashwarya no matter how much she impresses the rest. Please don’t take that to think you know fashion any better then all of us. You just run a fashion blog with writers hidden behind the mighty pen, who probably wouldn’t be able to carry off anything trendy themselves.
Ash looked gorgeous in all 3 outings. Keep your ridiculous ‘bit much’ opinion to yourself.

  3. Actually I kinda like her in all the three looks and the gray dress looks great on her in my opinion. If I’d to pick the least favorite, it would be the first outfit!!

  4. Are you really fashion blog?? Better check your experience and knowledge of it before put any article.. She looks ROYAL in all 3 dressess. If you think you can do better, then show, don’t just bark..

    • You gotta relax!
Yes, It is a fashion blog and as far as I know, P&P have at least around nine years of experience with this blog. They wrote what they liked and what they did not. If you do not like it, move on, Period! But it is a humble request to not abuse the writers. You visited the blog and read it, hence you used their services. You should be grateful and happy. You like the looks, Great! But just learn to respect other people’s opinions. It is a request of course.

P.S. I do not like first look, looks like kids dress up party, but I love the second and third look. I am waiting for the Cannes now. 🙂

    • Yes Aishwariya’s PR, this is a fashion blog! And guess what Yes it is a fashion blog Aishwariya’s PR people. And surprise it’s P&P’s blog not Aishwariya Rai’s blog. Aishwariya may be good looking but she’s never had a fashionista reputation and these 3 unsuitable looks just reinforce that fact. If you only want to read good things about your employer start your own blog.

  5. White looks so good on Aishwarya. It really compliments her flawless beauty! I liked all 3 Looks. She doesn’t try too hard and I prefer it that way. Third look my favorite out of the three.

  6. This lady is so stunning. White looks great on Aishwarya. It compliments her flawless beauty. I like that she never tries too hard. Wondering why you didn’t like her look in grey gown. I see no flaw there.

  7. She looks great in all 3, the second is not bad but could have been better. Her face is glowing and can hardly tell she is 35+. She is a true beauty. Such a breathtakingly gorgeous face!!!

  8. The first outfit is ugly and I don’t like the makeup or the hair in the white dress
The Grey dress is atleast interesting – that’s the pick for me

  9. The 2nd look is so elegant.. her makeup is a bit off in the white dress, but she looks so fab in white. The first one is fun too. It’s funny that if Sonam wore the same outfits HHC would have reacted so differently.. they would have gone gaga over the 2nd dress for sure! Anyway, what’s it to me.

    • Probably because Sonam is taller and slimmer so the second dress would look better on her. Aishwarya is beautiful but she does not have that thing that makes an outfit pop.

        • There’s a difference between beauty and being fashionable! You don’t have to be beautiful to be fashionable nor does being beautiful mean you are fashionable. It has more to do with height and body type, which usually give Sonam an edge over others.

          • I know that and even I think the same. But me and millions of other Indians don’t think Sonam is fashionable. If Aishwarya is not fashionable then Sonam is also not fashionable. Concluded.

  10. She looks rather dumpy in all three looks
She always looks this way at longines events and at events where she has to wear a hat. And the one thing that always stands out is how uncomfortable she looks in each look. wish she’s gravitate towards clothes she feels comfy and confident in

That discomfort shows through and she comes across almost behnji like

  11. WOW! Don’t be be so hard on the bloggers, ladies. We are all just having some fun here. Not like our opinions really count to these successful women who don the lovely outfits.
I agree Aishwarya and Sonam’s attires are always debatable but lets not get nasty.
I actually don’t mind the grey gown. I can see it needed alterations where the length is concerned but it fares much better than the other two.

  12. Agree on the discomfort showing. The first look, she CANNOT handle. I’m surprised to find I like the virginal white dress on her.

  13. I disagree, I think she looks great in all three and the only reason I believe so is the fit. They all fit so perfectly around the waist and the bust – YES even the GREY one!
The grey one wasn’t my fave but it didn’t bother me either, I definitely didn’t thin kit added bulk to her frame – have you seen some of the ill-fitting ‘couture’ gowns Sonam wears that literally look there’s a house under there! That’s bulk, not this! Infact I find the the third look quite bleh- 90s bride types

  14. All three outfits are so frumpy and dowdy. Aishwarya should stop taking her fashion cues from Helena Bonham-Carter and start looking at Kate Middleton or Nicole Kidman instead.

  15. She looks gorgeous in the white one. The first is good. The grey is not bad, the folds is the only issue there. Lovely delicate shoes in all.

  16. She looks fab in all three looks. Very beautiful woman.

Wow Aishwarya has lot of die hard fans. She garners more number of comments on this site.

  17. Although the white dress has a ‘wedding ‘ vibe, Aishwarya looks lovely. The grey gown, a color she carries quite well I must add, isn’t so bad, just the silhouette is all wrong. The first outfit is all wrong, starting with the hat. Hair styles were disappointing and the make up looks the same in all three.

  18. Beautiful in the white but the other two are a big miss! I feel her stylist doesnt get that she’s dressing Aishwarya Rai and makes her wear clothes that would suit a sonam or deepika more. Even at Cannes last year the Elie Saab green gown was awful on her.

  19. I don’t understand one thing about Aishwarya ( and Shilpa Shetty), why can’t they play around with their hair a bit. Add a soft bun, sleek pony to the look or do some thing. Its just same old hair always for these ladies and it has been the same foreeveeeeerrrrrrr. That is all its takes for me to lose interest in their looks.
    Disappointed again.

  20. Actually of the three looks, i like the 2nd one in grey the best! Its classy, and her hair looks good. The other 2 – pretty meh. Also whats with almost the same lip color in all 3?

  21. Aishwarya has gone from bad to worse…all the 3 looks are plain ridiculous…look number 3 still has some salvaging aspects, in the 1st look she is looking like a girl playing dress up…oh Ash, when will you learn? Will you ever?..hmm…I have my doubts!

  22. All three looks are great. The second one in gray is the best because the make-up is perfect. The third is forgettable but not bad. I think the first one suffers from bad photography.
