In Sabyasachi

Wearing a dull gold Sabyasachi suit, Aishwarya attended the success bash of Sarabjit on Thursday evening. As much as I love this look on her, I wish she’d saved it for a more formal event. The ornate suit seemed a bit much for a success bash. But then, these days just about everyone is dressed to the nines when it comes to such events.

  1. Does she work with a stylist at all? It all looks soo heavy and ornate. How can you be remotely comfortable wearing something like this in the summer? Don’t like it at all. Its unflattering and dated.

    • Aastha Sharma works with two of the most beautiful stars in BW; Esha Gupta & Aishwarya Rai. Esha Gupta has a 98% success rate on the red carpet just because she’s fun and risky when it comes to fashion. Then we have Aishwarya who is safe, predictable and conservative. Can’t blame the stylist if the client doesn’t want to have fun with fashion because Aastha has more than enough potential to take Ms. Rai to another level.

  2. Layer and Layers of make up on an OTT outfit. Unless she is attending wedding or reception after this event, this look as disappointing as the movie itself.

  3. This Aastha Sharma Lady does horrible job.Sack her .
Ash could look so much better than a chamak challo.
She has no idea about even appropriate dressing

  4. Aastha Sharma – your name is always tagged in Aishwarya’s posts so I’m guessing you’re the stylist. Have you taken just a long long sabbatical or has Aishwarya decided to rebel against popular opinion.
It baffles me how every appearance can get worse with more bling and more makeup. It seems Aishwarya has decided to prove that she will do her own thing, no matter what anyone says.

  5. Gaaaaaaaawd! Aishwarya, realise your natural beauty, your extremely flawless skin and that it alone can stand out!
To share something – My partner’s mom was Aishwarya Rai’s teacher. This was over 20 yrs back when Aish was young and had just stepped into modelling. His mom has told me how Aishwarya was one “extraordinarily” beautiful woman she had ever seen and this was when aish obviously was sitting in her classes without a speck of makeup on. 20 yrs hence, obviously Aishwarya’s skin wouldn’t be as supple and elastic but I am sure that she wouldn’t have to go to the other end to load her face with THAT amount of concealer or foundation or whatever! It’s really sad when such a natural beauty goes for a cakey face just because she has an access to all the MU brands and MUAs.
As for the dress, I like it on her. Like the combination of dull golden with black heels.

  6. Yikes so gaudy. She always looks the same. Same hairstyle, same ott make up, same hand on hips pose with a blingy outfit.

  7. The suit is gorgeous but she makes it look dated with her heavy makeup and hair. A lighter lip and slicked back hair would have elevated this look.

  8. This look reminds me of a gold dusted doughnut. As for the makeup, wonder how long it takes to get it off. It’s just piled on like jam.

  9. and why on earth is she pulling on that dupatta with her left hand…is she trying to cover her boobs or tummy…so awkward! It is so frustrating to watch her dress like this.

  10. Neither do I like the oversized suit nor the fringed dupatta!
Gawwwdd! I am so tired of seeing her in the same old style repeatedlyyyy…!

  11. What a mess! No sense of seasonality whatsoever. The makeup unnecessarily ages her. The hair and the all the bling are very dated too. But the worst part is the tired/disinterested look on her face. Hope the “promotions” fad in Bollywood calms down eventually.

  12. I think everyone is too harsh… she looks quite pretty to me . And how someone mentioned…the black sandals go surprisingly well with the dull gold suit.
