In Sabyasachi

Wearing a Sabyasachi long anarkali, Aishwarya inaugurated three more Kalyan Jewellers stores in Delhi on Saturday.

The black anarkali featuring a lion design on the sleeves was quite a welcome change from those overwhelming lehengas she’d been sporting of late but can’t say we are fans of the big hair even though overall she looked years younger.

P.S. Anyone else getting a sense of déjà vu? Something about the hair reminds me of her Hi! Blitz photoshoot.

  1. She looks gorgeous!!! The strategically placed belt defines her waist and gives more shape to the silhouette. The wavy hair is a welcome change from her usual straightened hairstyle.

  2. These guys here at HHC are the most biased people around. They have to put Aishwarya down no matter what. Why don’t you guys upload pictures of how you both look?
P.S: yes you aren’t going to publish this!

        • No need to get personal.. they did say its a welcome change.. just not fan of the hair! Whats wrong with that? No one is forcing you to comment on their opinion and you are free to visit other fashion blogs, where someone supposedly “with awesome taste” and who look “gorgeous” writes. Downright mean girls!!!

          • Agree with Nisha here. I might not agree with P&P all the time either, but there is no need for rude, personal attacks. P&P, I do think you should tighten your comment policy though – you might have allowed these to make a point, but negative comments like these bring down the tone of the conversation, whether the attack is on you or a celebrity. I have lately wondered at some of the comments on this blog – they seem to tread a very thin line.

        • Seriously, first you visit someone’s blog and then say nasty things about them? It’s called trolling. And it’s making you look miserable and immature. Loser.

        • WTF??? Having a fashion blog means one has to look like a supermodel? Or do you mean their dressing sense? I hope you do mean their dressing sense. Because that´s the only thing that could halfway get a pass. Because tastes are different & it´s only fair, if a fashion blogger can be criticise for his/her personal taste. & if you did mean that, your delivery is terrible. :/

      • God, you look so oiled in all the pics! And your hair is sooooo boooooring! I now understand why kirans hair is never commented on and Aishwarya get the criticism no matter how good she looks!

    • Shocked to see the personal assault on PnP, by people who have obviously no qualms in enjoying the hard work put in by PnP, but lack the basic graciousness to handle differing opinions without getting personal.
You folks really need to go get a life!!!

    • Lol. Aren’t P&P celebrities themselves now? So what’s wrong with someone not liking how they dress up, etc. Don’t dish it if you can’t take it 😉

  3. Baby steps in the right direction!!! She hasn’t looked so stunning in quite some time. Hope this is just he first of many more super looks for the most beautiful woman on earth.

  4. All that jewellery and none notices it. She probably defeats the purpose of a brand amabassdor for a jewellery brand, when it is only the woman you notice. Isnt it?

    Already excited for Cannes 🙂

  5. Definitely her best appearance in recent times! So youthful and stunning! She can still give all the younger actresses a run for their money with just her face alone.

  7. Aishwarya looks breathtaking and half her age! ! Everything from top to bottom is so perfect. P&P , you always had complains of her boring straight hair, now when she has changed it, and trust me that’s a unique one too, you are again critical. She looks royal and no words are enough to describe how fresh and pretty she looks. You both need glasses, with reality check stamped on it.

  8. I dislike the hair as well, though considering the point of comparison is her earlier look, I’ll take this.

Also can I say that it’s pretty pathetic (read incredibly pathetic) that people resort to personal comments and accusations of “bias” just because you have opinions they don’t approve of.

  9. Aishwarya is looking infinitely better, so much so that I’m checking out her pictures again and again. She’s fixed her makeup too, and that lip color looks pretty on her.

Also, yougaiz , I wasn’t aware that fashion blogging is a beauty contest. Or anybody with a different opinion needs to be silenced with ‘You’re just jealous and also your hair stinks!’ That kind of stuff can be left for electioneering 🙂 P and P are lovely ladies, but frankly we all come here to gawp at Aishwarya and Kangana and Sonam, not critique people who run the site.

  10. She looks GORGEOUS finally !!! SO so so much YOUNGER!
PnP, even though i disagree with your opinion right now, if you don’t like the hair.. its your opinion.. hell.. it’s your own blog! please don’t let these people put you down.. dogs bark!!!

    You’ll ROCKKKKk!!!

    • Dogs bark…You’ll rock? Bwahaha. Oh good lord! I haven’t laughed this hard even in any of the clown appearance of some celebs on HHC. Thank you for that. 😀

  11. Y all the personal comments. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Aish looks beautiful.. Such a refreshing change from the boring anarkalis teamed with the boring straight hair. She looks regal!

  12. I love the hair and makeup…What I dont like is the anarkali…Looks like she just changed her hair makeup and walked out of Jodha Akhbar set….She definitely looks younger…

  13. First up, she looks fine. And since she hasn’t looked fine in ages think people are overreacting and acting rather vicious towards PnP. They form make personal comments on anyone and think calling then oily or cringing at their pics is downright crude. Just my two bits here. Really shocked to see the hate.

  14. LOL at the comments above…its beyond funny…i mean yes…she looks stunning…regal…and much yoounger…but that doesnt mean the dress and the hair go together…especially to a launch event that tooo on a sunny day….the dress is fab on her and so is the hair…but together..may be no…simple…

and blogging is abt personal taste…where does bias come from. ?? what will they get if they praise sonam and dont praise Ash ??? nothing…so please…lets just share views and not stoop to such levels…

  15. Sorry, this is way post-event but just wanted to say that I have disagreed with HHC many a time but seriously, personal comments like THAT are just rude and rudeness is unnecessary. If you have problems with their looks or hair or whatever, don’t come here. It’s so simple. I enjoy and appreciate the ‘time pass’ this blog offers me. Back to Aishwariya: I like the hair, it does make her look young however, the whole look seems overwhelming and too much.

  16. Dislike the hair. Looks unkempt and dry to me. The outfit I suppose is a welcome change from the others she sports which look like she could harbor a family of midgets under it. That face, though, could be covered with zits and she would still look beautiful.

  17. Loooooooooooooooooooooooooove! Ash looks so royal. Also I did notice the jewellery, and the dress is the perfect foil for it. Best she’s looked in ages.

  18. The last pic looks good. i love the outfit and the jewelry. but honestly that hair do is suited for a photoshoot. it doesn’t do her justice in reality. look at pic 2..

  19. So glad to see this winner from Ms. Rai! I had given up on her. We all know she prefers yards of fabric and tent-like silhouettes, so while she didn’t veer too far from that aesthetic, what a difference the belt and slim sleeves make. Props for changing up the hair too–an overall lovely look. 🙂

  20. In fact loved her refreshing look. She experimented with her hair rather than regular waves, big chunky gold jewelry . Reminds me of Aishwarya 10 years back. 10/10 for this one.

    Cheers

  21. Those comments were harsh! But that said, if you bill yourself as a fashion blogger, people EXPECT you to be…well, fashionable!:-). Your fashion writing career is based on picking apart celebrity fashion (you have to admit some of your comments are wayyy harsher), so in your pictures if you appear poorly dressed or “oily” yourself, you are bound to draw criticism and lose some credibility. You need to walk the walk!

  22. Ash may have finally got hold of a good stylist. I did not expect this turnaround at all- if ever.

The last pic is giving a serious Deepika in Cocktail vibe. ME Likey! 🙂

  23. O my I’m shocked by the long list of personal attacks and some outright ridiculous comments. Being an old time reader I just swing by to see Fashionable India thru PnP’s eyes but the tone of some comments are truly appalling and surprised that its not moderated.
As for my lovely Aish dang girl the real you is back. So happy to see the new hair style and the toned makeup and for the first time I noticed the jewellery Least this time she lived up to the brand ambassdor title. ‘Jodha’ style luv the detailing as a belt, on the sleeve and neck. Hope to see her in short sleeves soon.
