Aishwarya visited the Lalbaug Cha Raja Ganesh Pandal this weekend where she was seen wearing a sari from Sabyasachi’s recent Couture collection. This sari was an instant favorite right from the get go and Ms. Rai sure looked lovely.
The selfish me so wishes she’d saved this for a different occasion and worn one of the same ole Jani Khosla anarkalis to the outing. 😛

Lovely and unpredictable, Aishwarya chooses to be… Personally, I can’t stomach so much red on one person and not even when one is a bride. The saree and styling on the model looks better but let’s not forget that it cud be bcos its photoshopped ?
Do sabyasachi’s sarees come with a contract that the hair has to be worn in a middle part severely tied back fashion? Just wondering …..

I actually dislike the saree and how Aish looks in it. It looks just passable styled on the model with the right light. I am confused as to why everyone is going ga-ga over it. Thankfully, its Aishwarya wearing it and her beauty outshines the crappy clothes she wears.
Aishwarya is a stunner. She’s easily one of the most gorgeous women in the world.
Thst said,I find her dress sense very boring and blingy. This is an outfit that would look good at a wedding. The makeup would fit right in too. This is all too much for a visit to the temple. Definitely over the top!
Oh man, who does motifs like that these days!. Apart from the color of the saree there is nothing great about it. It’s a plain red saree with some chamki work done by a 6 year old. What so designer about it apart from the bomb it costs! Arrggh
You get such good ones at the local weave shop, however we don’t pay the price he quotes and bargain to death. The sarees like above are hung on the window of a designer shop and we don’t bat a eyelid to buy it. Who is conning who? The case of rich getting richer. Sorry to rant..yet to get my morning coffee.
Cannot agree more, preach it. Those gold motifs are hideous and saree itself looks like some godawful old Hindi movie sort. And is that stitching visible on the underside? And bargaining with a local guy while paying astronomical sums elsewhere is my absolute pet hate. Also people keep going on about beautiful Ash but her style is always so over egged and conscious and ill at ease whereas her looks call for simplicity.
ITA. She looks great and all… that color is divine on her. But what is so designer about this saree?

I can’t believe people aren’t liking this. I am completely mesmerized by how beautiful she looks. Finally a saree that is modern and not blingy so her gajra/bun doesn’t look too OTT. She should definitely stick to this kind of saree they are really flattering on her

I maybe in the minority but I finally understand why Ash always leaves her hair open nowadays! Such a simple hairdo ages her so much and the bun isn’t even so tightly wrapped . But the sari looks impeccable on her..
she wont ever age… or look like ugly aged crumpled skin ever. but yeah she is dressing so tent-y and heavy always, post her child.
That last sentence made me laugh out loud. Gosh what would I do without my daily fix of HHC!
