In Osman

Aishwarya attended the Akash and Shloka’s engagement party wearing a strapless Osman gown paired with a Ferragamo satin clutch and sporting her signature red lip and a wavy do.

Since we don’t have pics of her by herself and that two-toned hair color is for her role in Fanney Khan, can’t quite critique this look.

Like what you see?

  1. And the red lip color is back! That gown- what’s so designer about it?! looks like a home project when someone buys a new embroidery machine.

Lil girl very cute and innocent though 🙂

    • so right about the gown ! just becoz some designer puts a label we need not be blinded by it. It looks very ordinary ..hardly something worth paying for

  2. Eeeeeks! My eyes ! My eyes!
Jokes apart, what in the name of all that is holy, was she thinking? THAT much cleavage show for a non-bollywood engagement party? Typical case of mid life crisis I think.

  3. With exception of the ‘winged effect’ in the chest area- 2nd pic, the gown is lovely and she looks nice. Although I can’t be too sure it looks as if she was wearing pumps; in which case strappy sandals would have been a better choice. Red lips are though. Her little girl is cute …love her smile.

  4. Her dress is so random and does not even seem approrpiate for the event. The lip color looks more berry/fuchsia to me than red, but yeah, how can someone be so beautiful yet dress so boring?

  5. This look would have been great for say a Longines’ event, but feels extra for an engagement party. The fit is questionable too.
Aaradhya looks lovely though..isn’t she wearing Gauri & Nainika??

  6. Hmm… So, you ‘can’t’ critique this because you don’t have pics of her by herself, then why even post it? You don’t want to comment on a picture for xyz reasons but its ok for the rest of us to do so? How? We can all see her dress pretty much completely. Why run the blog, post the pic but reserve your own opinion, so so many times?

    • I agree with Ruchi. You can easily critique the fit of the dress (that is all kinds of wrong), hair and not necessarily the colour. I don’t understand your hesitation to comment, in fact I find it odd.

P n P, I have followed your blog for years and I hope you keep the quality of the content up. I come here to not look at celeb photos but read your comments and views and how your opinions are similar or different from the readers. I hope you keep up your great work and not fall in the pit of “I refuse to comment because of a random reason”. It makes me assume you are biased or getting paid by someone’s PR which may or may not be true and does not do justice to you guys.

      • In most pics we’ve received, she is bending towards Aaradhya which gives the illusion of a bad fit, is moving or is getting hidden behind her. And I already mentioned I dislike the hair but that is for a role so can’t do much about that either. 🙂

We post, so that the readers still get to catch up on daily sightings and give their feedback. If we were getting paid, don’t you think we’d be giving high praises to this look? I rather not give an opinion than fill a post with one that I don’t really believe in.

        • Thank you, that is why I keep coming back to this blog despite the rather negative and excessive tone of many comments. I don’t know, reading the comments one might feel that the wearer had personally slighted some of the commentators. Thank you PnP for retaining certain standards of journalism.

          • Correct, for once or for the new followers: the blog brings to you fashion behind the movies and in daily lives of stars and whosoever.. not criticism, remarks, nastiness opportunity. If a post isn’t appropriate for viewing how do you expect an opinion on it, at least it was covered for readers viewing.. responsible writers.

        • Thank you for clarifying Payal. My comment was in no way meant to offend. I really look forward to your comments and opinions.
          Keep up the excellent work!

    • We (readers and commenters) made this blog popular. I dont think anyone comes here really for the fashion critique by Payal & Priyanka. p&p standard tactic- one or 2 terse safe lines about a celeb picture and then the commenters/readers do the real analysis.

  7. Awful. The neckline, the fit itself isnt for her. Maybe an updo could have saved it but the hair makes it look even more sloppy.

  8. That dress, hair and lip color do not go together. Just because she has that haircolor does not mean she does not have any other dress options. She can still pick something that will work with that hair and tone down on the color of her lips. A navy blue dress with nude lips maybe.

  9. I think she either does not care or wears whatever is given to her for free. I cannot imagine she actually paid for this outfit. This outfit does not fit her, too long, too tight around the chest, and do not start me on the ugly navy shoes. Her daughter is very cute and I love her dress.

  10. Going by the pics on Instagram, her outfit seems fine. The couple already got engaged at Goa n threw party in Mumbai to celebrate the same so it wasn’t a traditional affair as such. Even bride-would-be wore a gown. And yes, Aishwarya wore pumps that too navy ones…quite odd! I also don’t like the wings at bust area!

  11. It’s an improvement. I didn’t like the straightened oily hair she wore for a year. It made her look like Snape.

The dress is nice except for the neck line. She should have shown just a hint of cleavage.

  12. A total downer! Ash needs to seriously change her hairstyle!! why is she hiding her ears all the time? I think she has some complex. The shoes should’ve been a scrappy high heel sandals. This look does not suit her at all.

  13. her outfit is nice for a pre-engagement party, i don’t see why there is so much flak as to her choices. If she wears suits/anarkalis they are termed tents/blingy, if she wears gowns, the neckline is too deep/ fit is wrong! I like how happy she looks (and so does her daughter) in the 2nd pic, definitely not ‘AWEFUL’ !

  14. While Ash has made some unfortunate outfit choices earlier , rarely does she stuff herself into gowns that are half her size. Well, a first time for everything I guess.

  15. shes scrunched up a black bedsheet, thrown on some fake flowers and voila! its such a pity that despite having access to all the clothes she can have, all the stylists who can suggest appropriate clothing, she chooses to constantly wear such horrible looks. we have to accept that the only time she actually delivers is at Cannes – everything else is red lips and horrible outfit! also, why is her adorable daughter always made to wear stockings?

  16. Why couldnt she have worn a saree? and TIED up that hair?
If there was a dress code that mandated everyone wear over priced crap, then she atleast should have found one her own size
