Awful Anarkali , with limp hair & the same red lipstick . I think this hair style is her mechanism to look thin & hide her face.

Yah actually, but it was something better than her usuals – larger than life capes, frilly dresses. Here its back again, a heavy jacket, frizzed hair n blinding red lips.
Outfit looks nice for winters, a kurta with jacket. At peaking summers, nopes!
The so called “signature” red lips and limp hair has to go. They are doing her no favours.
I didn’t like the anarkali at all. However, she looks beautiful.

At ophthalmologic society conference, what finishing touches you suggest? Why can’t they be allowed to dress down and be event appropriate?
Okay how is this a dressed down look in the first place. Personally I feel the red lipstick huge anarkali in itself is ott. She could have opted for a subtle and stylish look.
I am ok with she having a signature lip shade … but what she needs is stylist who knows her job ,
Signature lip is good but that is certainly not her color. There’s a red for everyone. It took me several tries at several stores to get the one that’s just right for me.

Ash literally uses clothes to hide herself now. It’s not so much a judgement on her as on the standards society imposes on women. Her clothing choices were always questionable — except the one glorious Raavan promo tour — but I really really wish she would own her self now. It would be such a role model for us.
For a second I thought she was wearing a jumpsuit and got sooo excited…but alas! It’s the same old same old…sigh!
She is looking badddd!!! But honestly I dont mind looking at tons of such pictures if Payal, you are going to keep writing such honest and no bullshit reviews:) what a welcome change from your end rather than just writing “ let us know what you think”!!
I’ll be the devils advocate here. This outfit is begging for a red lipstick on the wearer. She’s actually looking beautiful, if we weren’t so jaded with her same ol’ hair and make up. I think she’s just not very motivated to look her best anymore and after 30 years of doing the same thing everyday, maybe I’d be too 🙂
My first thought was it’s a white jumpsuit, and it looks really good, 2nd glance I realized it’s an Anarkali. Was disappointed.

This red lip is looking very harsh on her. The bigger problem is the outfit. It’s so uncomfortable for the hot Mumbai weather.
Yes, and while there’re at it hiding those items, please take the red lipstick away and introduce this woman to a hair tie or scrunchie.

This just reminds me of a cheap syntehic fabric. The outfit feels too bulky like I would die of claustrophobia if I wear it!

It’s sad that such an accomplished woman is somehow reduced to conforming to society’s unrealistic standards of beauty. She’d look amazing in a saree with a low bun.
Agree!! She may not look like her modelling days but she looks beautiful nevertheless.Her sartorial choices do no justice to her.
The jacket is two sizes too big for her. it was collecting on the floor and the sleeves were very loose.
Wish she wud wear a simple saree…with hair tied back. This anarkali is not great… But not bad either , all the hate for her is disheartening.
I, for one, love a good Rohit Bal. This is a nice outfit. The problem is with the sizing and the way it is worn.
The styling couldn’t be more off. Imagine Ash sporting a poufy ponytail and a plum or deep red lip with the outfit in correct size, fit and fall.
P.S: That orangy neon red lisptick should stop production. Will do no one any favor!

After seeing her do the same sort of makeup over and over again, I feel she doesn’t give a damn about makeup anymore or how everyone else views it! We can critique all we want and keep questioning her choice of style/stylist, she seems to be over all of this. Every celebrity doesn’t have to present themselves in the most presentable way all their lives. Be it Aishwarya or Rani, they have access to anything money can buy….which maybe makes us question their sartorial choices. Maybe they have chosen independence to not care…and that should be fine too! I know this is blog to critique the looks. But if some of the celebrities have shown a tendency to present themselves a certain way, then maybe it’s time to let them be rather than going the same path down everytime they are seen in public.
I remember in an interview, years ago, Aishwarya mentions that she never looks in the mirror when she leaves .. (for an event-can’t remember). I highly recommend she should.
