Wearing Rohit Bal again, Aishwarya attended the IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi on Saturday evening. Did the shorter length kurta and skirt work better than the long jacket we saw a few days earlier? Yes it did. But, I look at the jacket closely and I get Wardrobe from Beauty and Beast vibes.

Outfit so nice it needed better hairstyle and make up, looks too black, goth
So tired. Of. Seeing her.
Actually, so tired of NOT seeing her.
All her dressing is so dark and/ or heavy. Her personal taste I guess. She did the guzaarish movie and now is stuck in that bhansali heaviness forever. Shake it off, get a haircut, some peppy colors and sharp suits would be ideal. But she does stick to her comfort zone now. Like vidya balan.
sigh she has never wow’d on the indian red carpet, so no surprises here.
She only come out of her shell at Cannes, which was a let down this time too.
Why?
Where does she shop? Sarojini Nagar market? Even they have classier dresses. This woman has zero sense of style or class.
meh. So meh. She gave up. I give up.
No, No. P&P, are you being polite here?… this anarkali twin and the witch skirt looks hideous and red lip is giving major malificent vibes. Doesn’t work one bit.
I think they just gave up, which is understandable. Sigh.
She is one of the rare celebs who makes Rohit Bal look bad. This could have been such a standout look but gets weighed down by the usual heavy hair and red lipstick….and how many times we have lamented this!!!
And the arm position on the hip does not help
Whenever I see her on Indian red carpet, I am convinced all the designers incl Rohit Bal and AJSK can make atrocious ugly clothes. And Aishwarya has been wearing them. Exclusively

Celebrities who are bored of being in the public eye should maybe just take a break for a while and not appear for any of these events. At least then maybe they would get their mojo back we wouldn’t be subjected to this torture. She looks miserable. Her smile never reaches her eyes. She needs to stop wearing these heavy curtains. Come on, she was blessed with so much in the looks department, is she going to throw it away like this?
It’s the money, honey. These are all contractual obligations, she can’t not turn up, if only coz she risks being sued for millions.

I don’t understand why celebrities in India wear such heavy, dark and uncomfortable clothing during peak summer times! Heavy black dress in scorching heat of Abu Dhabi? Or full arms heavy anarkalis in hot Mumbai weather? There are a plenty of summer (and event-) appropriate colors + styles, easy breezy yet fun but don’t know why would someone like Aishwarya turn up for an event like this? Fashion does not mean bling or loads of fabric!
Aishwarya has a unique talent of being extremely beautiful and yet managing to come off looking like a clown . Is it too much for her to dress up properly . I remember the Gauri and Nainika dress at jazbaa promotions which was mesmerizingly gorgeous as it had a unique style and flaunted her curves and her toned legs below the knee. She should stick to those kind of figure hugging knee length dresses and skirts instead of bothering with these heavy duty flared gowns .
I just looked up pictures from the said promotions. I noticed that all her dresses & hair for promotion events for jazba, are different. So does it mean that she does not get to decide on the dress & hair for such events (IIFA included)? Beats me.
It’s about time people accept her the way she is…not caring for how she looks, how she dresses n her body size…like she has seen it all..public gaze, fame, popularity n success to all the possible levels.. now she cares two hoots wat others think about her looks. She cares of her family n her own happiness…n that’s wat this outfit n her Cannes looks personifies.. it’s time we stop expecting more from her. N possibly even stop posting her pics…bcoz frankly its not worth it !

This might have worked If she wore it with tapered / slim pants . As is , it’s looking so dark , heavy & goth. She really needs a good stylist who can work with her body shape and make her look fresh , fashionable and confident . Maybe hire Vidya Balan’s stylist who knows how to make her look fab with her body type .
Does she try these outfits on prior to events? This one is all sorts of wrong. Sigh. What a complete waste of a gorgeous face. That red lipstick is getting old and super boring.
Has she been selected to act in any sequel for Chandramukhi
Let’s all agree that she has garish taste in clothes -a wow look from her is never gonna happen.
Her memo to her styling team probably is to find designer clothes that are voluminous / covering her head to toe + straight hair/blowout + red lip!
Can’t believe it’s close to 30 years that she won the Ms. World crown though!
I hope she knows that no one expects her to look the way she did 30 years ago – she should just be proud of the fact that she has been in the limelight for 3 decades now!
