Sari Style

Aishwarya made a rare appearance not only at the L’Oréal Women Of Worth Awards but also at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s party later on celebrating his National Award win.

At both events, the L’Oréal ambassador was seen in a Tarun Tahiliani sari featuring a floral and fringe border. Picking up on the latter, her look was finished out with pearl tassel earrings.

I do like the white look but the blouse being full-sleeved aged the look drastically which I think could’ve been avoided. A shorter sleeve one would’ve looked a whole lot better here, especially with that boat-neck detail. Don’t you think?

  1. I have so many problems with this look.. The earrings need to go. The sari looks dated. Don’t even get me started on the blouse. The whole look ages her.

  2. Oh gosh, I absolutely can’t get onboard with this. Those earrings and the make up and that hair do. The sari might have worked with a different blouse.

  3. Relatively less blingy for her; good thing. This make up makes her look washed out. May be color via lips could have elevated the look more. Overall will take this over the OTT outfits she wears.

  4. I think she looks perfect! Why are women so afraid to age? She’s 40 and I am glad to see that a popular woman like her is neither afraid to show her extra pounds on the red carpet inn Cannes nor is she hesitant to look like she’s 40 yrs old. We, women should celebrate our age n not try to look young.

  5. she seems to have got back her old mojo here – back to where her atrractiveness comes across effortlessly … Debating the other trifling details seems moot in this case.

  6. Pig tail earrings are back. Bigger problem is the bad makeup.
    Sheer lacy blouse
    Bad make-up
    Tassel earrings

Aishwarya is channeling her inner Sonam. 😀 😛

  7. Given Aishwarya’s dressing sense, this is good. I have issues with makeup and saree .. None with blouse
Overall as someone mentioned big yay for ditching the blingy anarkalis

  8. Don’t like the saree in the first place. Adding to the woes is the age-ing, lacy blouse, the hair and make-up and also those earrings. In short, I don’t like anything from head to toe.

  9. I think each element on its own is beautiful. earrings. saree. blouse. and aish. problem is that it all comes together and makes the look frumpy and over the top. wish she had paired that saree with a simple sleeveless blouse, let her hair loose and masked the prominent earrings/ alternatively, if she so loved the blouse, match that with a plain cream saree , pulled the hair back and let the blouse and the earrings do the talking!! all of it is too much for the eye!! my two cents… 🙂

  10. Overall it’s an ok look. Such a lovely saree ruined by the fringe and colorful embroidery. The blouse is quite nice actually. Hair and makeup isn’t so bad.

  11. I dislike the earrings. Small pearl earrings would have worked better since her hair is tied up. She looks nice otherwise. With her gorgeous face, she can get away with a lot.
