In Manish Malhotra
Not only did Aishwarya pick Manish Malhotra for Diwali parties this year, she also sported an ornate anarkali at daughter Aaradhya’s birthday bash. It did seem a tad excessive but something tells us she wanted to match the princess theme of the party.

So so stunning in the red outfit! Don’t like the other one but photo isn’t clear
Come on! She’s celebrating. She looks gorgeous.
Yeah the b’day party look is a tad OTT, but she looks fabulous…at both events. I think it’s fun that she wanted to dress in the ‘princess’ theme.
Ash looks gorgeous in both the looks.
The wine colour outfit and lipstick is simply stunning on Ash. She should try all colours and try designers other than just MM and AJSK for Indian wear.
oops… I was posting under comments section and it got posted under your comment.
Beautiful woman as always in the gaudiest of outfits with makeup laid on with a trowel. What a shame.
My thoughts exactly. Its so good to see her back in shape and everything, but the mask like make up and gaudy dresses just kill it for me.
Would it have hurt to wear a non-blingy, subtle/sophisticated gown?
Its your daughter’s day to get away with overdressing !!
What’s wrong with over dressing for your own child’s birthday? Atleast she is not showing up more dressed up at someone else’s wedding or premiere.
Gorgeousness in both. But she looks divine in the red one.
I haven’t seen a woman as beautiful as she is. Period.
So good to see her in perfect shape 🙂
and what a beautiful face. She is celebrating festivals/special occasions, guess OTT is acceptable.
She’s pretty but wow what an incredibly tacktastic outfit. How does he get away with it??
This was the other Diwali outfit I was talking about. Loved it. Love the colour on her and the hair looks great.
She looks gorgeous. Love her in the red.
She looks absolutely stunning !
I always find that dark coloured lipsticks work really well on her face….but then again she looks great in most colours!
She’s living proof of why full figured people age better. She may not be as thin or toned as many celebs her age but do they have her radiance? And how beautiful are her hands? God really did make her in ‘fursat’.
Aapne bilkul saheen baath kaha. Uperwale ne Aish ko ‘fursat’ se bana hein!
There is a song ‘Tauba Tauba’ in the movie Jeans which says this and describes her beauty.
Infact all the songs in that movie describe her beauty.
?!?!
Wow. Clearly you haven’t seen Aishwarya Rai in her younger days if you are calling her “full figured” which by the way is just a euphemism for “curvy” which is a euphemism for “fat”.
Not that there is anything wrong with being full figured but even I am not sure how and when she was a “full” figured girl. In fact wasn’t she size zero in Dhoom2? She was beautiful then and still she is.
It is not my intention to put your opinion down Melange. But Mary meant Aish’s figure after giving birth to her daughter, not before her pregnancy. What she means is Aish is still glowing even at this age. And ‘curvy’ is not ‘fat’. ‘Curvy’ can be ‘voluptious’, not fat in all areas. The purpose of euphemism is not being rude by conveying something in a subtle, polite way. So by that logic, Mary was polite(not in an offensive way). Peace. 🙂
I know you didn’t mean to be offensive but I disagree with your statement. Rekha, Sridevi, Karisma, Tabu, Shilpa, Sonali, etc. have all been relatively fitter with a leaner disposition. In my opinion, they’ve been ageing well and have the radiance too. So I dont think it’s got anything to do with being “curvy”. A lot of it is to do with genetics, lifestyle, hormones, etc. So one can’t generalize based on body type.
Yes you are right Violet.
She looks stunning in the red outfit…. Effortless and gorgeous .
