No Neeta Lulla. No Gauri Nainika. Did the sun just rise from the west??? I’ll have to give props to Ms. Rai for changing it up but having said neither did I like the gown on Aishwarya nor that hair. You?

    • YEAAAAAA I know right. Something just doesn’t look right with her face. Maybe it’s the color of the gown, hair, and/or the neck of the gown. I don’t like her here at all.

      • something’s up with the posture too … looks like she’s hunching!! i donno I cant tell either … but it looks very unnatural!!

the dress is fine.. the hair and awkward pose takes away from it all !

        • agree the posture here is just weird which is odd she’s usually very good posture wise. Otherwise I love the hair and the dress I’m glad she stepped out of her comfort zone.. the hair and the dress go perfectly together n the makeup is ok.

  1. she looks good as always except for the middle partition in her hair..Is it that difficult for her to get everything right? Thank god she is blessed with stunning looks.

  2. She looks bad..and I’m not just saying this because I don’t like her.

The hair looks fried, she looks bloated, and that one arched eyebrow expression looks utterly ridiculous and rather hilarious.

      • She has always had one eyebrow higher than the other… i guess we all have some imperfections and this is one of hers… i’m not going to knock her for it… i don’t think it’s a fake expression – it’s just some people’s faces are not as symmetrical as other…

        • may be its the natural shape of her eyebrow…but when you look at it again it sure looks scary!!!! :D:D I hope she is not the one playing ravana! 😉
          luv the color on her.

  3. I remember you mentioning if someone has excess fat ( or in this case she is putting on ) one must avoid such necks to look bloated. What happened to this style icon ?
The just previous post with V-neckline makes her look much better.

  4. ash looks not so bad here – despite the design, the colour and material really do soften her up.

i really dislike these types of dresses, because that sort of detailing under the bust makes the breasts look unflatteringly large and droopy. although, this would have looked much better as a jumpsuit 😉

  5. She looks…different. I prefer her when she looks like an unreachable goddess. The dress is too long on her. The color actually isn’t the best for her skin, and her makeup looks strange. I love Ash, but this is wierd.

  6. not a good look, the hair makes her face looks double it’s size and the high collar of the dress makes her neck look short. This dress needs a pulled back or short hair. the dress is also too long on Ash.

  7. She just puts on this look that TRIES to say,’Look at me, I’m so beautiful and sophisticated’. She’s not. If she just smiled NATURALLY, for once, she would look beautiful, stunning. And I like her dress, but it’s too long for her.

  8. Happy Ash i’s promoting Indian designers. However apart from Ash these designers have too many starlets wearing the same design/gown when they need to showcase more of their other creations and variety.

  9. is it some expression or what…one of her eyebrows is always prominently higher up then the other…… they were pretty balanced earlier (a year or so back)

  10. My god, she has never looked this bad. The dress is drab. Orange-ish makeup, tired and dull face. (I don’t know which makeup artist has actually managed to make Ash’s face look average.) The hair doesn’t work for her…reminds me of her equally unflattering curly do in ‘Kyun ho gaya na’. And on top of all she’s hunching over! I can’t believe this is the usually-lovely Mrs. Bachchan.
The single positive note is that this dress makes her look taller and more shapely.

  11. like the colur, but not dress on Ash, you need to have shoulders for such a dress. For some reason she looks hunched??

Also I had to make a double look, at first I thought it was TYRA BANKS!! she looks so much like her with that hair, the brown/red colour of hair is even more tyra!

  12. Glad that she changed it up – I am not usually a fan, but she looks good here. The gown is a little too long and the hair could be better, but the hair adds a certain earthiness to this look. I like.

    • this is not her tanned complexion, this is her real skin tone, compare this photo with the ones at the cannes film festivel and you see the difference. The same goes with Shilpa, in the US we see photos of a indian models in US vogue and Elle and they are always photographed in their natural color tone, hate it that in India they want to make everyone look white. This is an insult.

The gown, hair both are blah but heard she isnt keeping well these days. And hence the tired look may be!The face as usual is beautiful!

the flow, length & bagginess of this dress adds more to her weight.
