As part of L’Oréal promotions, Aishwarya interacted on their social media accounts posting casual pics from her day schedule which first saw her in a Ferragamo dress and later in a Georges Chakra gown.

The black look felt predictable and with her wearing the same soft curls and red lips that she’s been sporting at most junkets there so far, the look didn’t quite feel as memorable. A sleek ponytail and the belt from the runway and this look would’ve been a killer.

In the second look, the nude lips and middle parted do made for quite a welcome change but, of course, here the gown itself was the winner. No complaints it. Well, maybe one. I think it was better saved for the red carpet. Here’s hoping the one she wears to the red carpet today tops this one. Just a few more hours to go. 🙂

  1. This woman is beyond gorgeous. Love the white gown, looks like it’s on fire. I hope she changes her hairstyle for the red carpet look, she’s been sporting the same hairstyle since day 1.

  4. The black look is perfect the way it is! Stunning hair, healthy bod, striking lips and a minimally styled dress. If it were any other a-list star, ya’ll would’ve been going ga-ga over this look. I’m not an ARB fan, but I have to admit, she has caught attention for all the right reasons at Cannes this year. Last year she channeled a glam goddess, this year, a classic diva.

  5. GORGEOUS! She definitely has looked the best compared to all the others. She has come so far from her first Canne’s appearance when she was nothing but criticised.

She looks gorgeous in both looks, and I must add, so youthful in the black one. She is owning it this year. No fake fashionista can take it away from her.

  7. Love the white dress and have to admit shes looking miles better this year than previous years, might be because she seems to have toned up a lot for this. The over the top gushing on her posts is quite a funny read mind you! Also whats with the hands touching over midriff pose shes doing every time on the red carpet?

    • Lol! True. I was just wondering: if these are the comments that make it past moderation, P&P’s trash can must be ablaze with the disallowed ones. 😉

Love the GC gown. This silhouette works best on Ms. Rai Bachchan.

  10. She looks fabulous in the the White George Chakra!!! My only complaint is why didn’t her stylist make her wear this the first day on the red carpet instead of the worst Elie Saab gown ever made?? Why waste this super glam look for a press meet. Anyhow she looks flawless. Gives her such a beautiful shape.

  11. Love the black dress… would have been nice to see that in a bright color even white since it was a day event. The white mermaid dress is for a goddess that she has become this year at Cannes! Go Aish! 🙂

  13. Sonam, the boring fashionista – Please have a look at the ‘aunty ji’. Didn’t she give you a run for your money? Eh? 😀

Aish, I’m tired of being in awe of you! Somebody up there said, ‘healthy bod’, which is so so right! You are a diva! You work the hell out of everything.. be it in black or in white! 😉

  14. I much prefer the black outfit over this white gown.

Just because something is dramatic, doesn’t mean it looks good (on you). It’s OTT and doesn’t suit her. Last year’s Cavalli was a OTT too but man, did it look amazing on her!
