In Falguni and Shane Peacock

Aishwarya opted for a Falguni and Shane Peacock anarkali to wear to the Armaan Jain Anissha Malhotra Wedding with diamond jewellery and her signature red lipstick. Don’t know about you but my reaction was meh.

  1. Why the sequins? Always?? So much fabric! It hides her personality!! She could have tried anything!! A Raw Mango saree is what I’m longing to see her in!!!!

  2. Ok seriously, the lady needs an intervention! All her appearances just blend together and look exactly the same. Outfit, hair makeup – ditto, ditto, ditto!

  3. I think we are sometimes too harsh on the celebrities. Most often even normal people like us dont get excited to dress up for every event/ function. Imagine the celebrities whose whole life revolves around dressing up pretty for all the zillion functions/ events.

  4. This could be her at any wedding, birthday, award celebration for the past 3/5 years. It’s become so signature it’s like copy paste.

  5. Shenhas done this look in white, peach, pink… even the weddings have the same green plants n flowers background. An Ash sighting after so long.

  6. Since she almost always picks the same kind of near identical blinged-out, tent-like, over-accessorised looks, we can safely assume that it’s her personal style and comfort zone. And if that’s what she likes, she should totally do just that. Still, can’t help thinking what fun it may be to see her experiment.

  7. It looks like a gown. Where is the churidaar? This is my pet peeve always, why are the anarkalis so damn long that one can’t see the bottoms, then why not call it a gown instead?

  8. I get that she is disinterested in fashion other than Cannes/Longines -related events but isn’t that all the more reason for her to raid her mum or MIL’s silk sarees, put her hair in a bun and be done with it? I bet this method is cheaper, lazy-gal-proof, more efficient and easy on the eyes than this monstrosity she chooses time and again.

  9. If we do a collage of her attending weddings/receptions/functions, then she would be a tough competitor for ‘spot-the-difference’ including the way she holds the lil one’s hand.

  10. Yawn!
You can take a stock photo of her in this monster lehangas and place it right next to every newly wed
    Done!

I don’t even know whose idea was it at first to design these ugly creations called anarkalis, they do nothing for anyone….
EVERYONE thats someone in Bollywood is wearing these for the last 5+ years
Tara, Aalia, Kareena, Karisma, Sara, AISH…

I watched the Ananda Vikatan Tamil Awards show! SUCH lovely sarees. I am not sure why Bollywood hates sarees 🙁

  11. Aish, please wake up from 1990s!
There is so much you expect from her and she disappoints. Every single time except for Cannes or Logines events.
She’s just plainly not interested in experimenting and sticks to some age old style. It’s either MM or AJ-SK. There was a Sabya phase which was her best but it vanished. Just so frustrating to see her disappoint. I’m giving up on her, just like I did for Bhumi. Peace

  12. I feel like she hasn’t put her hair in a braid, ponytail or any other casual hairstyle in over 10 years! It’s always the same gaudy outfits, open hair, bright lips with glittery/boring shoes.

Honestly, with a face like that and all the money at her disposal, I wonder if she’s not bored of the same looks for a decade!

  13. Yawn!! I just dozed off seeing this…dunno if its recent or from 5 years back, everything is exactly the same including the way she holds her daughter. LOL.

  14. Agree that the look is boring because it’s been seen so many times. But not everyone enjoys fashion and wants to make an effort all the time, even if they happen to be celebs. It’s not about being lazy. There’s too much pressure on women to have perfect hair, makeup, clothes etc all the time. Maybe she channels her energy on something else. Tbh, she’s not obligated to be a fashionista

    • People are not asking her to become a fashionista. People are asking her to dress elegant and simple and not dress gaudy and dated. If she is not interested in fashion, she can wear simple suits and sarees right? Instead of such gaudy clothes and makeup? Comfort lies in simple sarees n suits with minimal makeup.

    • The only reason she is invited everywhere is because she is a celebrity. Looking good is part of her job specially cause she made an hugely successful career solely base on her looks. If she is not interested she should stay away from limelight like Namrata Sirodkar. When it comes to her it is not that she is not interested being a celebrity anymore it is simply not having any sense of style and rather having a very tacky one. And no one puts any pressure on woman to look good except the women themselves. If she appears in a simple sari like any other woman no one will complain, people talk cause she wears designer dresse which are outright ugly and wrong for her age/body type
