Aishwarya made a red carpet appearance on day four of the Cannes festival, this time in a fuschia gown with a plunging neckline. Just no denying that this color looked gooood on her..

  1. i give a YAY for this dress. i like it alot better than the last two due to the fact that she has tried something different from her usual “safe colors”. in fact, i love everything about this dress…the neckline, the color, the way it falls around her….score!

  2. somehow she looks thinner than usual? Maybe coz of the cut of the dress. I like the neckline. She looks nice. And nice to see big B with her. btw..is that Jaya bachchan in the background? if so what is that green monstrosity she is wearing?

  3. She looks nice, ther seems to somthing odd about the necline/waist but maybe thats just the camera angle. It’s an undeniably gooood color for her 🙂 I
I also think it’s cute how she is holding on to both Big B and Abhi ^^…but can someone tell Jaya to look happy for once…

  4. The color is gorgeous… but something seems off about the makeup and the front of the dress. Is it a little wrinkled again?

She looks like she has lost weight for sure. But can you blame her? Everyone was speculating if she was pregnant or not at least year’s Cannes, poor girl.

  5. The color looks nice. The neckline makes her look a little flat chested. Can the family do a little less hand holding? They are walking in a chain. Jaya’s outfit is horrible in every regard. What was she thinking? Is she also covering up for her bahu?

  6. Although I like this dress, I feel that for a change she should’ve worn a saree. she’s with her whole family and her mom in law is behind in an indian dress so perhaps to complement the whole family ensemble, she could’ve gown with the home designer…there are sooo many beautiful saarees out there. anyways, what’s with the deep low necks she’s been wearing lately? the black outfit had a similar neckline no?

    thanks.

  12. I think it’s quite amusing that with almost every compliment (because she obviously rocks this dress) there is an immediate or inevitable “BUT” from everyone.

I have noticed that there must be some level of criticism when the topic is Aishwarya; the new discontent of her bringing her entire family is a direct contradiction of people complaining that she isn’t wearing saris or acting “Indian enough” because, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t a big part of Indian culture and tradition – FAMILY?

Like I said, correct me if I’m wrong…also, the Bachans aren’t exactly “nobodies” or people to shun or be ashamed of in public – I mean seriously, I would possibly wet myself if I ever met Amitabh Bachan, because he is AMITABH BACHAN!

  13. To the likes of Neetu and Nik, I want to repeat: I loved the color on Ash BUT not the neckline!!! Since she is a small chested woman, this dress should have been strapless but with some feather like ruffles on the top edge…or she should’ve shown some legs a la renee zellweger in london premiere and natalie portman in cannes. why go for long gowns in all four days??????????

  14. aishwarya looks awesome. i’ve seen some of the other pictures of this event and amitabh and abhishek look awesome as well. jaya looks so incredibly awful. i’ve never seen her look worse.

  15. Loved the dress, why the entire khandan was required to the event ? I dont think Amitabh can leave Ash n Abhi alone….btw…whats with Jayas dress ? She is an elegant elderly women why not stick with an elegant indian saree ? Dressing up like a 16 yr old ?

  16. Also someone said that she is flat chested and the dress is not looking good….I think people forget that most celebs includin general population of girls wear…push up bras……I am sure ash also knows about it…..but somehow the stylist decided not to attrack attention on the clevage like jolie…..Rather on the face n neck ! I liked it, she is looking elegant n stylish without showing her babies !

  17. i agree with pearl. one doesn’t have to always emphasize cleavage.

the hand holding is cute and it’s not like they held hands all the way across the red carpet, only a tiny part of it.

  18. I’m sorry – i cant pay attention to Ash because Jaya’s monstrous outfit distracts me… what is with her?????????

  19. Is Amar Singh really there? or am I missing a joke? People, doesn’t he have a family of his own? or has the Bachchan family adopted him? Just some harmless curiosity. Are they also holding Amar singh’s hand?? 😀

  24. I think the color looks very nice her, but i still think she looked nicer on the first two days. But OMG what the hell is Jaya wearing ??? Don’t these people look in the mirror before stepping out of their homes

  25. i’m not an ardent fan of any of indian celebs including ash , but due to her hype/ international celebrity status i always wondered why no matter what she wears , she always end up looking the same ( desi , hehehe)………… but in this whole attire she not just looked different and unindian but also very refreshing , stylish , young and slim ( at last)………. as of dress ,just the color is nice but looked very good on her , not sure about about the neckline whether good or not but at least she tried something new , and hairs , make her face look less chubby ………….. P & P i agreed with u , day 4 her best

  26. Though this post is about Aish, but after having a look at all the pics of Bachchan family at “source” mentioned by P& P in the blog, I cant resist commenting on Jaya’s dress.. she is looking even short and tooo weird in that outfit!! some one rightly said, that we still have to see her smiling in any of her pics ……And what is about Amar Singh being with them at Cannes??? With all the due respect to that gentleman, I think he always overdoes the display of “affection (If I may say that:))” for his “bade bhaiyya”…..He is soso outta place there!!!!!!
