From Photoshoot To Real Life

Turns out, the jacket Abhishek Bachchan had on at the Louis Vuitton party was same as the one seen on him in the L’Officiel photoshoot/spread!

We much prefer the jacket in its for-magazine-shoot avatar; it fares so much better when styled/worn open and unbuttoned! Agree?

  2. Totally agree, the jacket looks so much better unbuttoned like that in the photo shoot. He looks to stiff wearing it buttoned up

  4. I totally agree. Some clothes look great in photshoots as they are shot from a certain angle.
But this jacket would have worked in real life if it would have been left unbuttoned.

  5. Looks better left open…

But I think a man like Abhishek looks best when he’s not trying too hard.. He should just leave the trying to be fashionable to others and be himself..It would leave a chance for his personality to shine through which I think is the best thing about him 🙂 The best image I have of him in my head is in plain white shirt and denims… drool…

  6. He looks like he’s been strung up in a straitjacket!! Totally uncool…..although I’m not too crazy about the jacket on the whole, it does look much better in the photo shoot in it’s open-neck style. When will Aby Baby Jr. give us a flawless look?

  7. I can understand why he would button it up, it’s because it’s a double-breasted jacket, I can never just leave it that type of jacket hanging loose, I have to button it up, as compared to single-breasted jackets. It looks good in the shoot, but that’s not exactly real life, and one doesn’t need to move around as you would at a party.

  8. though i don’t think he can carry it off very well..but unbuttoned style looks better..

  9. It looks marginally better in the photoshoot… But he really does come across as trying to hard. Wish he’s just stick to more conventional stuff – he does that sooo much better… and so much more comfortably…

  10. I’m sorry! I have to disagree. I think he looks bad in both pics. He is not the model-esque type and should not try such high fashion getups in which he looks uncomfortable and out of place. He’s in desperate need of a stylist!

  11. OMG, the first thought I had when I saw the above pics was — looks like a Chef to me.

And now seeing everyone’s comments along the same lines, I am wondering how obvious it would (or rather SHOULD) have been to anyone who saw him after he emerged from his dressing room, and before he got out of the house.
Come on, what is family for? Tsk, Tsk.

  12. It never stops to amaze me how someone so ordinary looking is so popular, I mean his looks are as ordinary as they can be… I am yet to find anything extraordinary about him, the looks the body the acting what is so great about him… oh yes I completely forgot he is the son of Amitabh Bachhan and then happened to have married the most beautiful woman in the world… yes so those two are his biggest achievements in life being son of Amitabh and being husband of Aishwarya!!
And someone he is not the model-esque type, well to me he is not worthy of an iota to even appear on TV serials..

  13. Really don’t know why he buttoned this…I know his neck is mad at him! Also, Abhishek and stubble are a match made in heaven. Skip the shave next time, dear!

  14. Absolutely agress;he doesn’t have what it takes in the style dep. despite being styled well in films like Dostana…then again so many have been styled really well in films but when it comes to personal style it seems so clear that that was all the stylist magic…Priyanka Chopra is a great example of this too.Lesson to learn boys and girls;boYou either have it or you don’t!

  17. this just shows what an absolute fashion fiasco bachchan Jr. is…I mean give him a totally chic jacket, SHOW him how to wear it well, and he STILL totally messes it up when he has to do it himself!!!!! why doesnt he understand some people are just not meant to be cutting edge-chic??? he should just stick to simple stuff and stop trying so hard!!!

  18. Gotta say that I like Abi a lot. His acting in Yuva, Guru, and kuch na kaho showed he has stuff. I like his Indian looks, and really think he has style potential. However he chooses to offend with garish clothing, or totally ungroomed looks. Of late he has paid attention to his hair; both facial and on the head.It makes a big difference. He is also looking trimmer. Now if only he chooses long dark coats, suits, casual jeans, with a touch of preppiness, he will look suave, handsome.

  19. Hate it in both avatars. He needs to hire a stylist. Pronto.

@herdisnot: He has potential(acting) only with best directors. Both Yuva and Guru – Maniratnam.
