In Alex Perry

Deepika attended the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland past week where she was awarded the Crystal Award for her work in creating awareness about depression. For the event, she wore a blue Alex Perry cape-sleeved gown. Other events saw her in all-white Roksanda separates paired with a Row coat, an all-black look in Gauchere and a print on print look from Prada.

Loved her in all except for the Prada one. She wasn’t able to sell the socks and pumps look to me.

Which one was your favorite?

    • But she was also there to celebrate her award i believe ( as seen in the pictures), so she can dress up and i think they do go by dress code at such events

  1. If you want to be taken seriously at Davos, don’t wear tennis socks with your pumps. Really, don’t.
And that pink bag to ‘complete the look’…. Nope.

      • Well that’s just the requisite star presence for the wef marketing.. earlier I think Kareena, Alia and few other stars were invited too in every edition. It’s just strategy.. not acknowledgement.

  2. I am scratching my head as I don’t get the high end fashion parade looks for an economic forum on depression awareness.
Don’t get me wrong, I am all for a cc well put together appearance, especially at high profile be events. But the gimmicky Prada Gucci Channel branding doll up so much, in which case call it a brand awareness event. It’s sad that celebrities would be so looks focused that they completely lost the point at forums where they can actually make a …point.
    Socks and pumps really? Sucks.

    • Agree completely! It’s a business forum, a great suit or saree would be just right.. a lot of women do wear sheath dresses with suits, she looks fabulous but should also look dressed for the place.

  3. The Roksanda looks good in pose. But very fussy to wear out and about whilst meeting people or attending events I would think. And wouldn’t one want to be comfortable whilst doing that??

  4. Wearing high fashion looks to the world economic forum is like wearing a heavily embroidered gharara to lunch.
A sharp suit or a classy sari would have been more appropriate here imo.

  6. She looks amazing in all, but my favourite was Alex Perry, how youthful she looks and I might be in the minority here..quite liked her in the Prada one too. Deepika should ditch voluminous clothes for well tailored sharp suits and gowns to justice to her statuesque frame.

  7. The 3rd pic of Alex Perry has such a young Bacall vibe.

She should leaves behind cutesy (like the socks) and mad stuff, she looks great in the classics.

  9. She looks ridiculous for someone who’s being awarded for creating awareness for depression at one of the most academic and business oriented events in the world. I’m sure she’s not the first celebrity to be called here, but I’d reckon this is not how most of them dress. These people have no idea about event placement and that in itself renders such ‘looks’ pointless. While she looks good in the blue one, just shows how devoid from reality these people are that they can’t even tell their stylists that dude hello I don’t want to look like a clothes horse let’s try to be authentic or impactful for once. It’s just like her promotion for her last movie. Maybe this is personal, but I hate mindless celebrities using depression and mental illness / tragedies of others to gain visibility in an inauthentic manner!

  10. What happened to that haircut she went for. That was really good, why back to same old oil polished chipku look DP? I love the Prada mismatch. AP is ok but confused about the color. Solid black and solid white are meh.

  11. The more i look at her Alex Perry appearance, i feel she would have looked even more elegant minus the earrings. Not sure why she wears those chunky earrings that drags down her earlobes.
