The Newly Weds: Reception Edition

Vivek and Priyanka’s reception was held in Mumbai tonight and here is your first look. The bride wore a blue lehenga with a green velvet choli, while the groom wore a dark velvet sherwani.

In Gucci

I do not get how one can pick such a sleek outfit one day and yet have agreed to walk the runway in a rather OTT outfit the day before. But, my ponderings aside, how fab does Kangna look in this cutout grey Gucci dress?

Now, that I’ve seen the t-straps on Chanel (the model), I do wish Kangna wore something similar as well, cuz the white platform sandals look rather clunky. A grey LV minaudiere completed her look.

In Gauri Nainika

I wanted to post this closeup of Deepika first instead of the full-length just to focus on how exquisite she looks waist up and how much more disappointed you will be once you see the full-length!

In Shivan & Narresh

Looks like we weren’t the only ones who adored this Shivan & Narreshsari, seen first on brand ambassador Manisha. Young designer Masaba scooped up the sari this week as well and wore it last night with a blouse from her own collection. It’s a good thing the blouse had really thin sleeves else the checked pattern would’ve been too overwhelming with the delicate colors of the sari.

Mom Neena was spotted wearing the Anaikka gladiator brace jewellery that we saw Masaba wear really well here. Unfortunately, on Neena it looked way too odd with the sari and the red blouse.

In DKNY

You know we abhor rosettes and this should be an automatic Hate for us. Well, this is us throwing you a curveball because we quite like this DKNY dress. The rosettes being of the same color as the dress aren’t too overwhelming. What we didn’t like though was Rhea wearing the belt lower on the waist. Instead of taking attention from her waist, it added to it.

Belt aside, Rhea herself looked really charming and I love the simple Choo slingbacks and the red nails.
