Match Much?

At first glance I hated the neck detail on this (Lina Tipnis?) dress on Gauhar. That combined with the red accessories made me not like the whole look. But, am still on the fence, because irrespective of the ‘match-much’ and the neck frill, Gauhar still looks pretty great in red. I wish she had worn white t-straps instead of the red ones. It might have helped in pushing me onto the ‘like’ side of the fence. What say you about Ms. Khan’s outfit.

Cover Wars!

Leading men surrounded by ladies (or just one lady) seems to be a recurrent theme with L’Officiel India. The January cover has Akshay Kumar wearing Dior Homme surrounded by three, a number much smaller compared to Ranbir who appeared to be being mauled by many on the Oct issue.

Question is, which cover do you prefer? Ranbir’s or Akshay’s?

Waa. Da. Heyyy!

She’s got the boots, the black catsuit and a cape. All we need is a hat and sword and Ms. Dutta’s transformation would be quite complete. No? (Of course, we’d like for that cape to be much longer!)

In Anita Dongre

While I am not a big fan of the high-neck halter blouse, I think Gul looks great in this version of Anita Dongre’s sari with the pulled back hair. If there is one thing I would change (besides the blouse, of course), it would be that clutch. It’s doesn’t make for a good contrast against the black and green.

Of Pale Hues

In a sea of over-embellished/ill-fitting/over-ruched/heavy-duty gowns at the Star Screen awards, these two stood out in their pale hued chiffon gowns. I was hardpressed to pick a favorite but in the end it was Dia who won my vote because I lurrrved her gown. Who wins your vote?

Dia is in Shantanu and Nikhil.

P.S. You can catch Ash and Sophie in their Manish Malhotra’s here.
