The Waheeda Way

After od’ing on over-designed saris, there’s something to be said for the normal…!! Talk about aging gracefully! We love Waheeda Rehman’s easy style and grace…

  1. oh yes we do …love the middle sari so graceful and elegant
I also love that she has chosen to age gracefully ( and I wonder if people will talk about how unhappy she is :D…I still think that Jaya’s mouth is just downturned)

  2. I just think for her era and her peers she’s maintained a style that is expected of her. In 40 years I don’t expect to see Aishwarya wearing something like this… I don’t know what I would exect but I’m sure I would think this is dowdy. I mean are we all supposed to dress like this when we’re 70?

  3. she is very graceful in her simplicity. i almost like her style better than the kirron kher’s. with kirron kher, it seems like she puts in an effort to have a “wow” effect, what with the long pallus and big chunky jewelry and long flowing tresses and what have you.

with waheeda, it’s like she doesn’t need the extra effects to make an impact.

  4. i agree with PeachB.. Kiron Kher is sooo in your face, sometimes its plain boring and not interesting. with WR.. its so au naturel.. it looks good.. like the first and last ones, even tho they are normal sarees one could find anywhere

  5. I think it’s important to “look your age” and still look stunning — that’s real beauty. Think Gayatri Devi, Waheeda Rehman etc. This woman is all grace.
