  1. So not feeling it…Seriously Vivek…velvet??? V for V? sorry, pj…and her lehenga comes off a little too garish…oh, well…Nice smiles though, cute couple 🙂

  2. I am feeling Vivek’s look somewhat but not his bride’s all that much – her look is as if she didn’t finish getting ready. Nonetheless best wishes to both of them.

  3. Wish them both a wonderful life together.
With that taken care of, Vivek is reminding me of Professor Snape and velvet curtains with tasseled valances. And i don’t like it when someone pulls a Mallika Sherawat on me, even if it is their wedding reception. Décolletage blouses and belly button exposure is unacceptable on brides.

      • I agree ! She is the bride. I know the ghoonghat days are long gone but there is a certain class and mystique that a bride should maintain. This is like hey-look-at-me-and-me-toned-figure-i-have-been-dieting-for-all-these-months. I know ur wedding is when all eyes are on you but that does not mean you got show case all of u on that one single day.

        • agree, all eyes on you is deserved, its their wedding after all, all eyes on the belly button is kinda taking it to the trashy level. sorry!

          Congratulations to the couple.

      • Sorry, Miss. There is nothing nazi-ish about cringing over a bride’s itty-bitty blouse when she knows that everyone’s eyes will be on her. It’s just tacky.

        • Wow whats wrong with wearing a short blouse? It doesn’t look the slightest bit tacky..I think what IS tacky however, is how some people expect brides to be completely covered up and demure…

          • You’re entitled to your opinion, but some of us like to conjure a picture of marital sanctity when we see a bride, not Bollywood item numbers. You wouldn’t go to a place of worship dressed in a mini-skirt, right? A wedding reception is where the bride meets people important to her family and of all ages. Father’s business associates, mother-in-law’s school teacher, husband’s nanny, mother’s grand aunt…how about drawing pallu across the chest? She doesn’t have to be wrapped in a blanket.

        • i disagree Crab. this might not be to your taste, but in my book this look doesn’t qualify as either “itty-bitty” or tacky. we’ve seen far smaller blouses/cholis and lehengas/sarees draped far lower on this site itself. those are tacky — not this appearance. yes, i may have preferred to see the dupatta draped over the waist, but that not being the case doesn’t call for the “mallika sherawat” label.

          • Sensible crab…!
For the bride with an iota of common sense (and out of her tweens,) she quickly realizes that she will be showing this picture to her grandkids someday, for pete’s sake.

  4. That velvet sherwani is making an handsome Vivek look ridiculous. That neck is strangling him. I like the brides’ lehenga with the velvet and all. Wish she wore a simple choker. This one is overwhelming on her small frame.

  5. Wow I feel old fashioned saying this, but I wish either her choli was a lil longer or she wore her dupatta across the lehenga. The look right now looks a little unfinished for the brides.
I love the colors, absolutely beautiful!

  6. She is very pretty, but what are they wearing? She has a great waist for such a lehenga though. She should have gone with a lighter necklace.

    • hahaha…!as mean as that sounds, that comment just nails it. v’s outfit is too theatrical and can’t really say i like his bride’s garbles either.

  7. this guy sure has an eye for beautiful girls 😉 the bride is very pretty (skinny ?) and looked so young in age wow. Congrats to them .
i liked the royal/cobalt blue color of her lehnga and the fact that she has light or natural make up on. She looked so so different from her wedding day don’t know y ? colored lenses may be.

    • I agree … If people here don’t like that she is showing her midriff because its not appropriate for a bride – then what shilpa was showing was totally out there!!!!

But either way – she is the bride and its the most important day of her life! She can dress any way she wants to as long as its not obscene and embarrassing! So what if she looks more like a “bollywood bride” than a traditional one! Its her choice!

      Congratulations to the happy couple!

  8. don’t like the velvet outfit on Vivek..it makes him look bulky and old when he is neither. I like Priyanka’s outfit but agree about the comments about either have a dupatta covering her like Dia did with her outfit or having a slightly longer choli. However, because of the way she is built, she doesn’t end up looking vulgar in an outfit which a curvier woman might have. I really don’t like that necklace on her..I think it’s supposed to go with the silver at the bottom of the lehenga, but I think it’s way too bulky and a nice kundan set would have looked better. However, they do make an adorable looking couple!

  9. Very pretty couple, but the wedding guests must have had a hard time trying to focus on the bride’s face and not on her chest and waist. Very filmi clothes.

    • Well actually I was at the reception and no one had to try really hard to focus on her face instead of her her chest and waist..she looked great and very comfortable in what she was wearing. Its a pity that so many comments are being made towrds the length of her blouse…I mean come on! She’s young and gorgeous and has this itty bitty waist, so why not flaunt it? She looks fab.

      • Glad you enjoyed the reception and granted that she is very beautiful, but there’s a time and place to show off your fab bod and doing it in front of hundreds of guests reminds me of a nautanki. I’m going to presume that you are a female and a male guest may have enjoyed a different “view” than you. Anyway, they are a beautiful couple and I’d like to wish them well.

  10. Don’t like V’s velvet outfit, but I guess if I had a flat belly I’d wear my lehenga that way as well, just not at my wedding. They make a lovely couple though and that is the most important thing!

  11. Yikes….That awful thing Vivek wore looks like a stage show dress he borrowed from Daler Mehendi! What a thing to wear on your wedding anniversary….where the hell is your stylist?

Agree with the others comments on the Bride’s cleavage and belly button show….so un-classy!! Either he wanted to show her off too much or she is trying to fit into bollywood already like someone said…and its gone all wrong…

  12. she looks great, the colors really suit her skiin tone
i know wedding colours are usually warm (pinks reds and oranges) but i love how she did traditional as well as sophisticated

    i lovee it.

ugh vivek, the sherwani looks so blah on him, so much velvet! he looks like a show curtain..

  14. The bride is dressed sooooo tacky – I definitely was reminded of item numbers too! What was she thinking? What is that necklace?! Somebody needs to educate this girl about class and taste. 🙁

And…I have no words for what Vivek’s wearing.
