Vidya looks lovely. This is what most Kolkata ladies wear on a daily basis. I remember my school teachers wearing perfectly draped sarees(in the most casual way) with big bindis, junk jewellery and also flowers in their hair sometimes. Always wondered how they could turn up dressed so well at 6.30 in the morning

Minor gripes?! You just nit picked on every single thing! and finally as a magnanimous compensation said ‘that aside she looked nice’.
I think she looks gorgeous and nothing needs to change.
She and Katrina are alike, they have found their comfort zone and do not experiment needlessly.

Totally agree.. she looks great! That’s her style, there might be another more flattering one but she has managed to own this. Love the sari and that blouse colour goes superbly with it.
      Go vidya!!

I don’t agree about the broad scoop neck — it’s the best neckline for her. I do wish though she’d experiment with sleeve lengths but she’s probably conscious about her upper arms. I think the problem here is the in-built bra — that’s what makes her look uber-bulky.

No fan of VB’s fashion sense, but these are terrible pics. They make her look larger than she is. I’ve seen others where she looks really good. I thought for once she had chosen the right saree and blouse.

That bindi is stealing the show. :) I don’t like the blouse here. It is ruining the otherwise neat look. Earrings are lovely and her smile is her best accessory.

This is an extremely unflattering look. Don’t like anything about this look.

These pictures have not come out too well. I am from Kolkata and in the pictures published in the lT2 in the Telegraph, Vidya looked lovely! Love this saree.

She is definitely not this broad. I think the pics are the most unflattering ones.

Awful blouse. Would have looked better in a the same off white tone as in the saree. Now, both the bright red blouse and big saree print are vying for attention.
